I have one gripe about the stereo. When using my iPod, it goes back to FM every time I start the car. So you have to quickly hit the mode buttom or risk missing part of an audio book. And I wish the cruise control would stay on so all you had to do is hit set each time after a start...

Did I mention the ugly blue plastic trim added to the arm rests and tray opening. OR the blue plastic top cover on the shift lever?

The 1 and the 4 don't have the blue trim on the anything except the shift knob. I got around that by adding an aftermarket shift knob.

Like your 5 ball shift option! I'm thinking a nice stitched leather knob would be great. Also want to investagate wheel covers since alloy's are out of my price range. screenshot_02 copy.jpg screenshot_03a.jpg

My only complaint is my wife wants to drive the car all the time and I cannot keep gas in it for work.

My only complaint is during the summertime, when I'm wearing shorts, and my wife has all kinds of junk hanging on her key ring..
It drags across my bare knee and distracts me!

My mistake, for buying all the women those little flashlights.. So they won't step into a parking lot pothole at night..
    Maglite® Solitaire® LED 1-Cell AAA Flashlight

I'm going to have to start taking my key, which has nothing hanging off the ring..

That's one reason why I love my 4 with the smart key. I forget I have keys half the time.

I believe there is a kit to automate lights coming on. checked the net?
lit vanity mirrors not a problem; one of the little battery powered flashlight type lights will illuminate the face and tuned on and off. Probably not$10. Install with velcro.
you can buy a leather cover for steering wheel but likely not enough buyers to warrant Toyota adding to cost. The senthetic appears quite good. why leather?
Mudflaps not marketable enough but readily avaialable aftermarket. Why have them? They decrease aero .

    Now my gripes:
    1. the rear window wiper is inadequte to cover enough or the right portion of the rear window. Its particularly bad when vettes come ripping up behind in the next lane.
I solved it with double wipers; can't be sneaked up on now.
    2. My biggest gripe: there's no higher performance version. The 1.5 is easily capable of 150 hp and with Toyota's partner, Yamaha,(ever noticed theres no Yamaha car, unlke all other motorcycle makers) could probably produce one next week with 150 to 200 hp and still get 40 mpg. The hybrid market needs a halo car to popularize it. Even if Honda corrects the CRZ the market for a hot sedan will be the halo car and Toyota/Mazda 2 are a good starting platfom. Think of it as a Porsche 918 for the masses.

I don't like the arm rest, I have to move my elbow back about 8" just to touch it, let alone use it for an arm rest.

Lease her a Nissan Leaf for 50-60 miles per day during the week. 120 mpg (equivalent) beats 48 mpg handily and its bigger inside. Good combination the electric Leaf and Prissy 2,3. or 4.

I'd like to have a rear view camera. My previous 2010 Prius 3 had one in the Nav system. My wife's Kia Optima doesn't have a nav but it does have a backup camera. I read here that Prius C's from other countries do have them. Does this mean that the wiring harness in my US spec model does have that wiring system already in the car?

No, the head unit has the connector for the camera, but you have to run the wires to the back yourself

I tried pulling it forward, didn't budge. Is there a trick to it like maybe a button to release it to move forward? Or are you yanking my chain? :cautious:

See the "Using the storage features" section of the manual.

I tried to upload a screen capture of the relevant section but I've been away for awhile and I'm not sure why the new version of the discussion board won't accept the upload. It's not that enlightening though, it basically says pull the lid of the console box forward. There is no release mechanism.

I have the 2014 c2 and the light for the airbag is still there. I think I will use some black electrical tape and cover mine, that's how much I hate them. It's kinda like a false warning light always showing and when a real one comes up you won't notice it because the yellow one is always there.

I agree but I'd like one better than the one in my Leaf (for M-F, the Prissy is for weekends) because on bright sunny days it isn't much good.
