get one of those head light generators, especially the cheap ones, they have lots of drag. Another possibly is a freewheel-less, or direct, drive train. You stop by putting back pressure on the pedals, producing marvelous calf musculature.

... When you actually use the little arrow in the gas gauge to remember which side the gas cap is.
(Still need it after a year and 18,000 miles).

 When you wonder why your wife's Camry doesn't turn on the interior courtesy lights when you touch the door handle...

And... you have to fish a key out of your pocket to open the door.

So soon we get spoiled... ;)

That's what that arrow is for!! holy cow, it's been bugging me for days!!! I was thinking it was telling me which direction the fuel gauge was emptying... which was quite dumb, I thought, cause there's an 'E' and an 'F' for that. wow, that's pretty lame. I just pop the gas cap before getting to the station. then you can see it in the mirror, and you know where it is. and you only have to do it the first 3 or 4 times, then you remember... unless you've got severe memory problems. ;) (just playin' man)

Actually, touching isn't nessecery, just standing next to your Prius will turn the interiour lights on.

"You know your a seasoned Prius owner when
you don't like your wife (husband) to drive and ruin your mileage."

    LOL!!!

    Too true!

You know you are a seasoned Prius driver when...

    - When you get excited to see another Prius on the road and try to guess what package they have.

    - You are low on gas but know that you have enough to make till tomorrow.

    - You get frustrated that you have to wait for any other car to warm up during cold weather.

just to expound on another's post

you know you are a seasoned Prius driver when you go out and start up your 2nd car for 10 minutes once a week to keep the battery from dying and cringe because the gas you burned is enough to drive your Prius for 2 days!!

You know you're a seasoned Prius driver when...

... you recall *exactly* how many miles had passed between the low fuel warning and the triangle of doom while going 65 on the highway.

    (answer: 8.3)
And it's not like I intended to push it... I just didn't realize I was on the *one* stretch of highway that had no gas stations for 20 miles. Ugh.

    On the other hand...

You know you're NOT a seasoned Prius driver yet when you want to hit the "volume up" button on the steering wheel and hit "next track" by mistake.

You know you're a seasoned Prius driver when...

you need gas and you're annoyed because you just bought a tankful 2 months ago.

(this has happened to me many times, not that I really mind :D )

I would, but I'm too busy taking down gas, mileage, etc. data in my PDA.

So, I'm sure this is a repeat, but

You know you're a seasoned Prius driver when

you spend too much time obsessing about mileage.

You know you're a seasoned Prius driver when friends start asking if you have been taking elocution lessons, but at least you're voice recognition works.
