I called CoastalETech last week and the woman *guessed* that the DVD Player kit would be ready for purchase in about a month. So that would be around Aug 8th. I plan to follow up with them then.

 

So its now the 14th August. did you call and was it ready?

I heard from reading all these posts about you that you really know your stuff. I was wondering if you could help me out. I have a 2004 Solara with factory NAV. If you look at the picture that I sent to you the letter "F" is used for video input. I just need to know what each pin is for. I don't want to hook up what i think is power and what i think is video and then screw up my unit.

 

I would love to find someone who can do the install in the Los Angeles area. Please pass along any suggestions.

 

If you are in North America, you can download the wiring diagram from techinf.toyota.com. They do charge a fee for this service.

 

I looked at techinfo.toyota.com, but they dont really break down the actually unit. I need to know the schematics for some of the connections on the back of the unit. for a 2004 solara nav.

 

The connector connections, if used, will be documented in the wiring diagram.

I really want to purchase your Deluxe ViewTech system because I have the old screen in the dash and I did not get a model with the Sat Nav and from the pictures on your site it is exactly what I need to jaz up my older prius. More then likely I wont buy the under the seat DVD player because it is a USA region player and I can get a UK region one over here. I would like to know because I saw a post before that said you have great instructions and most things are plug and play, do you have a DVD or VCD that comes with visual instructions with the written. I have only taken out a broken radio out of a car and I am just so worried I am going to mess up my prius dashboard. I called around to a few "specialists" and they tell me no way dont do it and the ones that tell me to do it say they will charge me an arm and a leg to put it in "right". I know I can do it if the instructions are clear and would be awesome if they were in movie form. Thanks for the great stuff you keep putting out!
