4300k is the whitest and brightest. Gets bluer above that and more yellow bellow.

I have 4300k, lovely and white and bright!

These seem brighter by a significant margin in my opinion.

I have the 4300k and I love mine! The only complaint is that the ballasts make a high pitch noise but that seems to be normal or so I have read.

I did call and left a voice mail with xenon supply asking if this was normal but they have yet to respond back. I'll probably call them again though...

Is there any downside (potential or real) with replacing the stock halogens with xenons? For example, do you run the risk that you'll burn out some wires or other electrical components of the car?

That may seem like a silly question, but on my old car, I replaced the stock housing for the corner and rear lights w/ clear lights. After a few years, I started noticing that I'd get the warning light on one of my rear tail lights indicating that the bulb had gone out. When I checked, the bulb was fine. However, when I unplugged some wires, I noticed that one of the wiring connectors was burnt out - the plastic housing was melting. Ended up having to get it fixed to correct the problem.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. FYI - I've got a 2010 Prius Model IV.

There is always a risk with any modification. I have never had a problem with the original cars wiring. I have had faulty hid kits with bad bulbs and ballasts.

I never have disconnected the battery for head light installs.

Just ordered the 4300K kit for our 2010! Cannot wait to get them installed and see the difference! Anyone had any luck finding parking lamps (the top white light) that match the 4300 kit? I assume LED would be the way to go..

I came across this video by retrofitlab.com

These are the only led's I was able to find that specifically state they are 4300k. I sent them an email asking how much they cost since I couldn't find a product page on their website.

These leds cost € 14 and shipping is € 2,- to the total is € 16. You can pay with Paypal (shipped to california)

I haven't ordered yet but probably will...just a little reluctant since others haven't had any luck so far.

I'm also waiting for my kit to come in. I decided to go with the 6k kit, and for the parking lights I went with these Extreme Bright High Power 168 2825 LED Bulbs For Parking City Lights. Did a search on the forum and someone else ordered these to go along with the 6k kit and it's almost a perfect match. If you go to the gallery there is a picture of a prius with it.

Just bought a 2013 Classic Silver Model 2 last weekend and first modification is the XS HID Kit in 4300K. Just got it in and was hoping to install it today. Unfortunately, I got the the bulbs with the metal tabs and the bare spade connectors instead of the OEM water resistant ones. Rather than hassle with even trying to install it, after reading MPGMachine's post and the headache gone through, I'll try to get this swapped out for the bulbs shown on the install video on Monday. Looking forward to seeing the light!

I just got mine on Thursday and it was the same way. I called to ask about it and they said that's just how they are now. He said they already shot a new YouTube video and will make the changes soon. I just wrapped the wires in tape and haven't had any problems even with rain yesterday. The bulbs went in without a fight. Overall I'm very pleased with the kit even though it has changed slightly.

I wonder if Toyota parts sells the "female" water resistant connectors. If so, I'd like to solder that in replacement to the spades and hook it up that way. Will update if possible.
