well lucky for me i don't pay for my insurance well i do 50 bucks a month but that doesnt cover it all. But it would be nice that a car would be less to insure.

Liberty Toyota sends an e-mail when stock arrives. In the last e-mail she said two were delivered with one sold before she finished composing the note recommending a call to reserve the car as she expected it to be sold by the end of the day.

so i made a decision im waiting for the new model year to come out, now just have to decide to wait a year or buy it the first year. So i guess im stuck paying tons at the pump for another year and a half. Also this will give me a chance to build my credit score up to 700 or so so i dont have to put 12k down:eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Crazy Horse,

I traded my FJ Cruiser yesterday for a Prius. I was getting 20-22 on stock tires and no roof rack but still didn't enjoy trips to the gas station. Had mine for about 18 months, 20K miles and they gave me around $20K trade in.

My theory mirrors some other who have responded. If gas keeps going, I'll be able to buy an equivalent 4-wheel drive back next year for $10K or less. Thought I'd unload my FJ before it's worth nothing. Our company already has 2 other Prius, and the gas savings over the previous Yukon XL's makes the payment.

Glad to be rid of the huge mirrors and wide windshield supports, almost had two crashes in the last month that were my fault because the mirror blocked my line of sight to cars on the right at a four way stop. You probably know what I'm talking about. Really won't miss everyone asking me " Is that a Hummer?".

Will miss the great traction in any terrain, the glove box on top of the dash, and the overall weirdness of the FJ.

The more you think about driving a gas guzzler when gas is going north, the more it makes sense to get out now and buy the best mpg you can get.

EX-FJ Owner, and glad for it
