What's really comical about these claims of future ev sales is that by the time this rolls around - the other manufacturers that started electric cars in a more timely/earlier manner will have already leapfrogged these fictional future announcements.

Give e'm a call & what do they say?
"sorry it's already spoken for but we have another coming in if you want to be on the list for $1,000 over MSRP" so very tired of

Oh, they have been doing this a while in some areas.
Remember the promises about hydrogen vehicles?
The solid state batteries were planned years ago, at first I believe they mentioned 2020 as the first cars with them.

I’ll happily eat crow if warranted. However, unless Toyota has a Time Machine, I don’t see anyway to prove people wrong that said they ar EV laggards.

I also don’t believe anyone ever said Toyota will never build BEVs.
Just that they have a long way to catch up.

Well, maybe in the past. Although it is still a very popular model, just not the most popular;)

Yep, just woke up to that news this morning... What amazing non-existent production abilities that have here... It just keeps going up and up. That's what's great about making announcements for something you haven't yet built more than one of or even begun to figure out how to mass produce... You can change your claims of its potential and no one can prove you wrong.
