Will there ever be a fix for the MPG estimates?

I'm not at all sure that it isn't purposeful. Lots of people see it and brag about it. The higher the mpg, the more they brag and the more other people are indoctrinated into the religion of higher mpg (until they get tired of hearing about it).

I could care less what other people think of how much mileage I am getting or if they even know, much less that what they hear is 5% low or high or whatever it is.

No, I am not an accountant but I did have a minor in mathematics. I appreciate accuracy when it matters to me. This doesn't. Not that there is anything wrong with those who care.
