Unfortunately, I think my area has just discovered roundabouts and is installing them to reduce accidents.
Where i work there is a roundabout with pedestrian crossings close by on the 3 streets. :(

How these local authorities like to mess things up and confuse people. They put a roundabout in, ok, give way to traffic on the roundabout and/or coming from the right, fine, now lets confuse the issue and create some poor air quality and put some traffic lights on the roundabout so cars can sit there idling when there's no traffic coming from the right, polluting the air (Prius excluded). Then approaching the roundabout let's defy the highway code which tells us the left lane is for going left or straight ahead off the roundabout and make it left turns only, that'll create some dangerous last minute lane changing just before the roundabout, lets even create some right turns from the left lane on some.
I sometimes wonder who plans roads in the UK these days, 4 year olds in nursery school (kindergarden) perhaps ?

Mirror Integrated Turn Signals that is....

I don't know. Things rarely move backwards. But I do file Mirror Integrated Turn Signals under things I could live easily without.

I've never owned a vehicle that has had them.

My current Honda Fit has a Right Hand Turn Signal camera. And it's kinda neat. Shows the blind spot when making a right hand turn. But really? Could I live without it? Easily.
It's not a replacement for using the mirrors or turning your head.

And IF something happened to the right side mirror? I'm sure replacement cost would be significantly higher.

Even worse, we have mini-roundabouts where larger vehicles can just drive over the centre island!

So do we. In UK it's ok if your back wheels touch the painted centre mark, but it's an offence to drive straight over. Some are combined into doubles, which can be very confusing. The most notorious is in Swindon, Wiltshire called The Magic Roundabout.

How's this for a stupid design - the INSIDE lane suddenly becomes the OUTSIDE lane. I drive the marked (red) route a couple of times daily (it's my entry to the Motorway). It's very busy - not sure when they managed this photo with few cars, probably 5am on a Sunday. If you don't follow the lanes properly, you end up doing a second loop - or run someone else off the roundabout trying to illegally change lanes. The number of people who get it wrong is ... lots. It is well marked on the approach signs, but I think motorists are illiterate when it comes to signs.

And that's difficult for people who are experienced with rotaries/roundabouts/traffic circles. In the US, where these are uncommon, this would be an accident magnet.
