geeze it was a damn joke...but I can ASSURE you that an oil change and tire rotation for a damn 1.5L - 1.8L engine doesn't cost anywhere Near $239. I would demand my keys cause they ain't getting that much for such a simple job.
Oh - so it wasn't a proper service. In that case, $239 is too much - but has left most of the service undone.
well considering an average oil change for me here in the US is about $35, then yes, you overpaid...by a LOT!!
I would never just do an oil change. A full service. First thing a dealer does when you go to trade a car here is to look at the Service History - "just" oil changes don't cut it here,
and just what else do you really think you need to waste money on every 5k miles? cause that's all that's needed until you get to the higher mileage
Doesn't work here - I generally sell my cars at 4-5 yrs (this has it's 5th birthday next week) - and, as I said, first thing a dealer will do is check the service history. A dealer won't give a good price for a vehicle without a full service history - they'll rip a lot off, as they'll send it to auction, rather than put it on their own yard, which will only have cars with full service history.
that's why my car has a full carfax that I keep current and up to date.. and I will not buy another vehicle without reviewing that carfax. if they can't provide me with one i walk out
It was for the 20k mile service. Surely, they checked the fluids, hoses, tires, brakes, wipers, air filters. What do you think that was worth? (The car has essentially never been off the highway).
