I remember I got nausea riding in my coworkers floaty Lexus LS. It seemed float like a boat on water. Maybe something was wrong with the suspension? Although there was considerably less leg room in his 3 series BMW and the ride was jarring, I'd rather be uncomfortable than to be sick.

In other words, my experience is contrary to most of the replies on here. A sway bar and stiffer springs would help. Thinner tires would not. You should check with your wife, whatever it is specific that is bothering her before any upgrade.

Yeah, I'm thinking underdamped and/or undersprung suspension, myself, causing the body to move around too much in reaction to bumps. In that case, stiffening it up would help.

I question the source motivation of both parties involved.

The wife I suspect is angling for a vehicle change.
The husband, wants to make some "fun" suspension upgrades.

    I'd do both.
    Buy the wife the BMW.
Have fun with the suspension upgrades.

And this Spring/Summer when your wife suggests going on a Ocean Cruise just say, " I don't know, if you couldn't handle the "Rough Seas" of the Prius, I don't know if you should be on board a ship. Maybe we just drive the BMW somewhere? ".

Then get ready for some REAL rough seas.

I also think the OP's wife just wants a BMW.

The OP could spend $2,000 lowering, sport-ing the Toyota.
Then seats, steering wheel other and his wife may still have a car Toyota sickness.
So "cut the losses" get the BMW.

Or as mentioned above, be a two car family.

    Good luck!

Installed the strut tower brace and the car is MUCH flatter in spirited corners. She still complains, but I love the improved handling, so at least one of us is happy! ;)

Bought the center brace and rear sway bar, but have not had time to install yet. Will report back when I get them on.

So, I installed the rear sway bar, and replaced the lousy tires with new Pirelli P7 Centurato tires and she stopped getting sick. Still need to do the center brace, but was busy over the holiday season.

How much of your wife's money is she spending for the BMW?

    Hahah. All of it?

I did a strut tower bar, and rear roll bar and put on new stiffer tires and she stopped saying she felt sick. I love the improved handling. I feel confident squeaking tires on the on and off ramps.

Happy wife, Happy life! Not withstanding nausea due to driving style (yours and/or hers), you are never going to overcome your wife's preferences. Get her the bimmer and cure her of the disease of wanting one. After a while the Prius v will sound better and better.
