Its a matter of personal preference, but I am one of those people that find the new Prius very attractive. I think the Prius is more attractive than the Pruis Prime, although the Prime is probably the more advanced car.
Ouch. Yeah I guess all the taxis have yellowed headlight covers too (and the front-facing bulb burned the plastic to an orange hue). Well it is a cleaner design than sealed-beam as it doesn't require to be removed. The Prime's are US$1,650 a piece before labour.
My salesman tried to convince me they have changed the plastics to prevent yellowing. I am not sure I believe that though. Time will tell.
I don't like the rear lights on the Prime, I much prefer my Zorro lights. Zorro (2) by kithmo posted Feb 2, 2017 at 2:17 PM Zorro by kithmo posted Feb 2, 2017 at 2:17 PM
I saw a high end large saloon last week with animated rear turn signals, didn't catch the make it was too far away, but they looked cool.
Esp. in North America where the regulations require low beam (dipped beam) headlights to be on when the foglights are on - kinda defeats the purpose of having them in the first place.
It's the same in dear old Blighty. Should have dipped mains on with fogs, but originally fog lights put out a low, flat beam that didn't glow back in fog as much as the mains did. Nowadays, they're just for posers and boy-racers. Not real fog lights at all.
I suggest for people wanting the look: just get the cheapest, good looking knock off fog lights, don't bother wiring them up. We've got OEM, never use them.
