Thanks for all the info. I havr a Gen iii and just learned some new unfor about cold weather here. Thanks

Also...just checked my tire pressures...super low (30s all around)...partially problem probably of me averaging 38 (cold temps) to 42 mpg.
So I pumped uo fronts to 44 psi and rears to 42 psi. I'll watch my mileage and see...also made appointment for alignment...have slight pulling to the right.
    OnePlus One? ?

OK...my average MPG is 44...I drive about eight miles around town, to and from work and shopping. I still have the giant deer rack on my car which is coming off SOON I hope....I will let you know if my MPG goes up when the rack comes off.....

short local trips eat up the mpg's due to engine warm up.

OK...I have owned my newer 2014 Prius c for about two months now....my commute is three miles one way and I have had four fill ups so far with regular gas.....my average MPG is 45 and sometimes 46....I drove three times to a town 25 miles away.....still 45 MPG....I live in California in the valley so our temps are mild in Spring...we just had 96 degree weather roll through. I am happy for the short commute but do envy those who are getting above 46 MPG. I use ECO button on and notice my EV is around 36%...there are several stop signs getting to my work place and light traffic.

Wow, I had no idea that you could convert a Prius to a Plug-in. I'm definitely going to be looking into this now :)
    Thanks!

Don't. That was 11 years ago. Yes you can, but it is exceedingly stupid in today's world of low cost BEVs and PHEVs. Then the Gen-2 Prius was basically the only electrified option worth anything. No PiP from Toyota, no real electrics and most of the other hybrids were crap. The world is VERY different today.
