Why does the Gen3 hybrid battery fail more than in the Gen2?

    My theory is that Panasonic made the gen 2 batteries better than the gen 3s.

    The Gen 3 batteries (actually the post 2006 Gen 2 batteries) are actually improved versions. The Gen 3 reliability issues are due to Toyota deciding to push the batteries harder (130 peak amps vs 100 in the Gen 2)
