Why did i run out of gas at 300 miles?

This is the beauty of this forum. I am scheduled to take delivery on my Prius the end of the week. And yet, by all the information given by current owners, I feel like I already have a strategy on how to do things. Whether it be driving techniques to maximize fuel economy, or simple things like when to re fuel......it's all PRICELESS. Thanks for your support. I am sure once I actually have my vehicle I will be chiming in with questions and observations..
