If the measuring stick is the highest selling vehicle, isn't that accurate?

best selling light vehicle in the US - yes. For the world IIRC its the corola then the focus.

    GOOD CAR BAD CAR
    In the US
F-series, silverado, ram, camry, corola are the top US sellers in 2015. 763 thousands F-series are estimated this year. The largest hydrogen stations can put out 350kg/day, and the tucson fcv is bound to be more efficient than a full size pick up truck at 50 m/kg h2. If we were to get 763,000 tucsons on the road and they utilized these stations 100%, at 15,000 miles per year it would take 1839 stations, there may be 100 by 2021 in the US, meaning you couldn't fuel all these fcv pick up trucks even if you could make them and people wanted to buy them. Other idiocy from the op.
Does that mean that you would rather buy fcv built in japan and korea, instead of using cells from korean and japanese makers built in the US? Not a very compelling argument.

accurate - and a sad state of the phony subsidized / no offset fuel cost of what we have to pay for gas. Nothing special allocated towards road tax, mpg penalty etc. Keep it cheap - and sell trucks - sadly that's our nation's "all that matters" motto.

APPLE may buy Tesla and then we will have a SmartCar finally.....or a iCAR. The automotive scene is in a state of change from the old guard to new companies that were not involved in cars (other than infotainment) to full blown control of the auto. It will be hard to predict all the variables if any...as we go.

If Apple does such, I guess I'll have to put my hopes in Nissan or *gulp* GM.

I actually don't remember an anti-Tesla message being an integral part of Romney's campaign, Austin, though I wouldn't be surprised if he did raise a ruckus about the lions share of the EV tax credit they consume. Or perhaps it was about the DOE loan that they had yet to pay back at that point in time, which ended up being a moot talking point fortunately.

Apple is already working on an EV internally. If they wanted to buy Tesla they would have tried already.

In one of Romney's more televised speaches, possibly a debate, he was critical of the government "... Wasting money on losers like Tesla and Solyndra...".

At the time, Tesla was no where near the lions share of the EV tax credits. In the summer of 2012 Tesla had sold a grand total of about 2500 EVs. Some of those possibly before the $7500 tax credit.
Most of the tax credits went to either GM or the Leaf which had been on sale since the end of 2010.

btw: tesla was the biggest seller of plug-ins in Noverber world wide with 5000 vehicles, passing up Nissan. It looks like it increased its lead in December.

The surprising tone deftness, this Romney was a vulture capitalist who should have known tesla was different than solyndra, but attack attack attack, because that was his audience. Who did he think the US government should help instead of tesla? COAL. Yep, at least romney understood that the rise of the EV was bad for coal, even though he got tesla completely wrong when he repeatedly caused it a loser company.

Hey, at least he saved Staples. ;) I wasn't a fan of him in any case (nor the incumbent) in the presidential race...and made a protest vote that year all the same. I was also off on the EV tax rebate timeline. That's 2-for-2. :(

    similar to fit
"The Fit has 16.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 52.7 cubic feet with them folded, which is excellent for a subcompact hatchback. Auto journalists agree that cargo-carrying flexibility is one of the Fit's greatest strengths. They say its rear seats, which can be folded in a variety of ways, give it the versatility to carry lots of cargo of varying shapes and size"

Not very far behind my V and more than the regular Prius
"The 2016 Prius v has 34.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 67.3 with them folded, which is more cargo space than most rival wagons offer"
