why thank you. the weather has not been kind to me these past few months.. so i've been declining.. that and driving conditions change here and there. overall, i'm pretty sad when it's worse than 58 mpg.
I'm with you, Squall, can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can start getting those ultra-high numbers again.
yeah.. i'm not looking for rain season in the next few months or so here... it's clear and warm now, but i know there's going to be more rain eventually.. also, due to personal issues.. my driving has been a lot more limited recently. if you look at my fuelly data.. you can see how often i usually fill up.. and these last few months... i certainly haven't driven as much.. but yea.. i still drive a lot in general. lol.
Strangely enough I'm waiting for it to cool down so I can turn the AC off. I am really struggling to keep it to 52-53mpg at the moment.
Even when our summer heat gets up into the 110+ range, I try not to use the a/c or only use it for a short while with the fan on low. I don't mind the sweat, and I do have a very short drive - it takes an exceptionally exceptional day for me to run the a/c.
Going in for my 25k service this week. Current mileage 25,467. Car was purchased last year on March 17 (St. Patrick's day)
Yeah I just don't like the heat... and our humidity doesn't help... it was >80% driving home today... makes even the 72 degrees unpleasant. I prefer cooler weather generally... 60 degrees is still t-shirt weather for me.
Humidity can make all the difference in the world. If I lived in a humid rather than dry environment, I'm sure I'd have a much different take on a/c usage.
^^^ You should watch 2 fas 4 u's posts at Prius v: 100,000 Mile Club | Page 7 | PriusChat. He's past 160K miles on his '12 Prius v wagon. He had 465K miles on his 09 Prius before he traded it for a Prius v wagon.
After putting 350,455 miles on a 05 Scion xB, I'm targeting 400,000 on my C. Because of a foolish, owner operator, mistake, I'm convinced I lost 50,000 miles on TheBox. That said, my customer/mechanic/buddy put a $500 used engine in it and is beating it back and forth to his work.
Well I have a rather long commute to work, all the way from my home just north of Austin to work which is just north of San Antonio, so it's about 86 miles one way or 172 miles per day or 860 miles per week or 3440 per month! Yeah I'm crazy like that!
