When ordering, how long did you wait for your Prius c?

I am still waiting for a C4 in moonglow. It's been almost 4 weeks. The dealership actually called Tuesday and said it was in - I was so excited! My husband and I drove over right away. Another sales guy was filling in for our usual sales guy. He said the car was out front, but all I saw was a C3 in gray. He checked the paperwork and it turned out that he called our phone number from the order list in error when he meant to call the people below us. When he called he asked for "The Stevens" but my husband heard "Steven" (which is his first name). My typical luck and funny now, but a little disappointing at the time.

So, I am trying to be patient. They are still checking what is coming in and said that they will custom order mine. The down side is that I will have to wait 4 months for the order. In the meantime, the day after we were at the dealership dealing with the confusion, my '07 Prius's speedometer display went black. Hopefully, it is something simple like a fuse. While I want to wait for my moonglow C4, I sure am getting antsy and thinking that perhaps my second and third color options (as long as it is a C4) may have to be a possibility. ;-)

 

VTimm- I know that they had a moonglow one here at the dealership a few days ago when I was over there. I could check and see if it is still there. I don't know what trim it is though.

 

Ordered a Monnglow C II on the 8th of march and received it on april 18.

 

I ordered my Prius c 3 today in the Moonglow color with the wheel package. I'm so happy that we decided to just order what we wanted instead of settling for a color I wouldn't be happy with! My dealership told me the wait time is 3-4 months before I ordered. Today they said it would be 4 weeks possibly. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that it arrives to me soon!!

 

Ordered our silver metallic IV on April 2nd. It shipped from Japan April 12. The dealer called today and said it was scheduled to be in Portland OR on April 23, and that we should take delivery in 1 to 2 weeks.

 

I went to the dealership this past Monday, we struck a deal on price, trade-in, and financing (they said they were pretty confident they could pull in the color and trim level I wanted). By Wednesday I was getting worried they weren't going to be able to get what I wanted and called them to expand the color choice and that I would go with either the two or three trim level; they informed me it had just arrived ten minutes earlier. I picked it up after work on Thursday. This all after test driving my brother's 2008 Prius last Saturday, and thinking I would like to have double the MPg then I was getting with my 09 Subaru Forester. Bonus: my car payment is $104 less a month on top of the fuel savings that I am looking forward to getting in my new Prius c II in Black Sand Pearl.

 

Ordered my Habanero C3 on March 8th. On April 5 they called me and told me it had been pre-sold and we needed to meet. Then i negotiated for a Habanero C4 for the same price and i can pick it up on April 25. Took way too long. A month and a half

 

I got a call today from the dealership and said that my C3 showed up on their allotment sheet today and said 4/25/12 and Japan next to that. Does anyone know what that means?

 

Placed my order for a C 4, Moonglow, w/ moonroof today! Dealer stated it will take an estimated 3 months to arrive. Will update you when it arrives.

 

I just put down a deposit for a C3 w/ moonroof in moonglow. They're telling me 3-4 weeks. They had one in silver coming in but are going to trade with another dealer for moonglow when it gets off the boat. I'm trading in an 06 Civic Hybrid which has been a great car, but with disappointing mileage for a hybrid. Very excited to get my new Prius!

 

That could mean the date it ships from Japan.
Mine shipped April 12 and the dealer called me 2 days ago and said it would land at Portland or on the 23 with delivery to me 1-2 weeks after that.

I have a car!

Spoke with the dealer and my I have received an allocation! My summer rain c3 with moonroof and alloy wheels will be here by the end of May!!!

It was on the lot, I walked in bought it and drove it home.

 

I ordered my Prius C on March 29, 2012. I was told by my dealer yesterday that it would take another 3~4 months for delivery.

 

I put down a deposit for an incoming C three on 4/21. Spoke to the dealer today, he confirmed it was built on 4/25 and is in Japan waiting on a boat. Once it's on the boat it'll be another 15 days or so to get here (portland, or) from Japan, so I'm looking at at least a month from order date. *fingers crossed*

 

In the link below I plugged in "unlimited distance" (from a zip code near me) and got 938 results. All the way to Washington state and California, on the west coast, to Maryland on the east. Maybe it will help those of you, who are getting the run around, find a dealer near by, or within reasonable driving distance, who has what you want. I'd definitely call ahead, you may find yours "on the lot". Print out the listing as a bargaining tool.

Put deposit down on February 21 as virtually all the Cs sold out on that first day of sales.

Car showed up at the dealership and I picked my Summer Rain C 2 on the last day of April.
I was getting to where I thought the car would never show up. The salesman originally told me "April if we're lucky - May for sure." I guess it came in just under the May deadline. Actually - no one bothered to tell the salesman the car was in and ready to go. He was almost more surprised than I was.

 

I ordered my last week, and they said Wednesday and now they are saying today (thursday).

 

For me it was crazy. I asked Toyota to contact me when they have one for a test drive (to make sure I fit!).

I turn up:

Its the color I want
It has the upgraded wheels
Its the Model 3 that I want

20 miles on the clock, I bought it the same day. haha. Lots of scrambling for documents on my trade in etc.

And I did fit. Just about.
