Actually, it does look pretty good in person but I do think it is the color that is most likely to be replaced for the 2011 model. That would make it rather rare.

My favorite Prius color of all time was Salsa Red available in '04 and '05. It would be nice if they would bring that back. There was also a dark green (BRG) available on the Gen I that looks pretty good, better than the Spruce Mica you can now get on a Camry.

Apologies to Sandy Beach owners but with the bisque trim (which I think is the only way it comes), there's just too much sandy color for me.

I actually wound up getting the bisque with blizzard pearl. This was far from my first color choice but the more I looked at it, the more I liked. At first, I was torn between Classic Silver and Winter Gray with dark gray trim. I'm glad I changed my mind. I think the light colors inside and out help keep the car cool as I was not going to spend $3600 for a solar sunroof!

Everyone keep hating the black so that there are more available for me. :)

I chose the Sandy Beach as my least favorite. All of my older relatives in the south had cars that color, so I guess I associate it with old. Not that I am a spring chicken anymore.

I really love the red and blue. But we're getting black since I chose the car, I let my husband pick the color. :)

Well one thing, Toyota was so conservative with the color choices that you are dealing with a pallet of pretty conservative choices. None of them are anything but almost classic, so none are IMO really "bad".

How's that for political? Sit on the fence? Okay, having said that, my least favorite, especially living in Oregon, is Silver. Don't be offended Silver owners, but in Oregon I've always felt the silver looks too much like our sky most of the time. I also think metallic silver looks almost like a metal car, almost an unpainted look.

On a bright sunny day? Silver can look great.

Can we write-in "Green <anything>" ... I spent 3 years, 10 months, 2 days, and 18 hours in the Marine Corps and still can't stand any shade of green.

Yep, our Prius won't look like any others out there :thumb:

An informal, non-scientific poll can attest to this.

Sorry that reminded me, I grew up and my Parents had a 67 Mustang. Which I though, even as a young child, was a really sharp looking automobile. Vents in the hood, and on the side, great interior, BUT it was that Metallic Pea Green. It looked very military. I hated it. My parents kept the car long enough that they decided to have it repainted. They debated what color to have it painted. I still remember my disappointment when the choice came back " We've decided to have it repainted...The same color...Ugh...probably explains my gravitation towards non-metalic colors today. For years I swore I was going to get a 67 Mustang and paint it black!

I think that color was called Lime Gold Metallic, I owned a '67 fastback that color. It was actually rather popular in it's day. I think car colors were much less conservative during the 50s and 60s than they are now.

It was close between the Sandy Beach Metallic and the Black.

Living in the north I really couldn't go with "Sandy Beach" with bisque (sounds kind of like some fancy dish at a French restaurant!).

If Blue Ribbon had been a bluish green or a pastel, then I would have voted for that.

However, as much as I love the look of black when it's clean, I've owned one and maintaining its appearance was a nightmare -- although I didn't have a garage at the time. It may be a favorite to see, but not to own.

    Sorry fans of "black"!

i would have picked two actually (sandy beach and silver), but only because I see so many of those colors around on different cars, and my parents and brother drive silver cars, and i used to drive a desert sand mica (close relative of sandy beach) car. blue all the way!

:D Actually, it's more of a love-hate relationship. I guess the hate part carried sway because I just don't have the energy to care for it as I once did. I would agree, however, that there is nothing more beautiful than a black car when it's clean.

I voted for winter gray since I dont "see" the metalic. Boring; at least with black, its sharp, if you have to deal with extra cleanup (have black CRV). My blue ribbon is great to look at but I am wondering why I did not get silver or refrig white (pearl) everytime I dry clean dust in my garage :D If the 09 light green metalic had been available; would have been my pick. Still can't believe that this year's green car choices don't have green.

Thank you all who do not like black. I got the call today that my car is coming the 27th. :)

Although I don't like silver, that is the color I will probably get.

In the past, Everytime I washed one of my cars, I was always cussing due to a scratch or a "ding" Had a silver pick up once and my family and neighbors both agreed, I didn't cuss rant and rave too much when I washed it.

I guess either people respected the silver, or it doesn't show scratches and dings that easily.

    Just my 2 cents worth....

Interesting. Based on the results of the 173 votes that have been cast so far, I notice that the rank ordering of least to most unpreferred (blue, red, gray, white, silver, black, sandy beach) exactly corresponds to the rank ordering of my own preference. My own Prius is blue, and I wanted only either blue or red.

I wonder if the ranking would be the same if the question were asked, "Which color do you like best?"

The other poll, http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/61251-2010-prius-color-choice-poll.html, ask what is your color choice, not what is your favorite color. Some of us may have chosen a color that was not our number 1 favorite because we decided to be a little more practical. I chose silver because I know from experience that it will be easier to take care of where I live. My favorite would be blue or red. Some people who live in Phoenix, AZ might like black the best but ordered white or silver for obvious reasons. This might explain some of the differences between poll results, also the samples are small and a lot of people probably didn't take both polls.
