What's up with the color matching restrictions??

When asked of consumer testing groups, most of the people wanted a dark interior with a dark car. That's why you can't get a light interior with a dark exterior. It "wouldn't sell quickly enough" in the minds of the sales department at Toyota Japan/Toyota US.

As far as swapping it's a big job. You'd want to swap the plastics as well as the seat covers. I haven't looked, but probably also the headliner. Perhaps it's time to rethink your exterior colour desires. Start with the interior you want this time, and then compromise on the exterior you could live with. Remembering that you mostly see the interior. Others see the exterior.

I see you're in Houston, so you can probably go a dealer who has a lot of cars in stock to see in person the choices.
