Here in the sticks..I am the only Prius around...mostly pickups or old cars that look like they are fogging for mosquitos. Not very good when u get around one of those...ugg!! The subdivision across the road is mainly SUVs, a few sedans, and well, it is Texas..pickups every where.

I'm the first (and only?) Prius driver in our suburbia townhouse complex of approximately 150 units. The immediate neighbor on one side drives an 06 Mazda 3 and the other side has an 05 Camry LE...

On my block - a couple SUVs, two pickups (one a F350 diesel), a Saturn, a old Caddy, a couple nondescript sedans, a Harley. And our cars - the wife's Prius, my old Porsche, the Vanagon camper (recent addition), and the sorrowful Range Rover that is being retired. So, we have the greenest car on the block, but considering what else is in our fleet we don't stand out as particularly green overall.

We have the only Prius on our culdesac. One Camry, a couple of Buicks, the rest PU's, mini-vans and SUV's. There is one other Prius in my neighborhood that I know of. The dealers in my area do have a lot of Prius on their lots. Hopefully some will work there way into my neighborhood. I would like to see enough interest in our area, Eastern Pa, to start a Prius club.

My next door neighbor has the same color Prius as me.

2 doors down in the other direction there used to be a Hummer. It looked pretty new, but I haven't seen it around for quite a while, so either they got embarrassed by their monstrosity and got rid of it (or hid it in the garage, if it would even fit), or it died at significantly less than the 300,000 miles that were supposed to put our Prii to shame.

Within 3 blocks of my house there are about 5 or 6 other Prius owners.

Wow!! Are they breeding? I mean the cars, not the owners. If so, are there any colors that are dominant?

Sorry. I've been up grading exams since 2:30 a.m.

Did I mention the one house on my street with not one, but two Hummers in the driveway? Both H2s. One of the license plates says "LIL HUMR." And no, they don't recycle, either. And yes, I'm feeling smug. B)

All those with neighbors who drive Hummers- you can take a photo of yourself giving their car a "friendly" gesture and post it at www.fuh2.com

Nope. Physics. But trying to figure out how students get some of their wrong answers tends to make me punchy.

I live in a 320 unit apartment highrise, and I have the only Prius in the parking garage.
Other vehicles in my building's garage (in rough categories of how I see cars) in order of most common to least common :

Buicks of a variety of ages (I get nausea everytime I walk through the garage looking at these things, but it's the midwest folks)
Other Detroit-three cars - mostly older (they all look the same to me)
    Corollas - mostly older
Honda Civics and Accords (these seem to account for most new cars, but I haven't seen any hybrids)
Smaller SUVs and 'crossovers' (again, they all look the same to me)
BMWs and similar flashy cars (these are all black for some reason)
Pickups (even though its Downtown Minneapolis)
Camry's (not nearly as many as one would expect being the best selling car in America for several years)
    A couple large SUVs
And finally, the vehicle I used to drive : One grey Chevy Astro minivan (until my parents come to reclaim it this weekend)

I think I have the only hybrid (or at least Prius) in my entire neighborhood of 70+ houses. Everyone in my town drives SUVs and large trucks since it is a farming community. I believe everyone has reasons for needing the type of car they choose.

Today, my car was complimented by a group of teenage boys at the local library. They are quite rare in this town, but 1/2 hour south they are more plentiful...

My neighbor across the street has a Chevy 2500 Pickup, a Corvette, and a Montero. She commented the other day that my car probably gets 3 times the mileage of any of their vehicles, and the Vette gets the best of all their vehicles.

A Hyundai SUV, Toyota truck (older), Jetta, Subaru Baja. People across the street have a couple Suburbans.

All the SUVs and pickups are in other neighborhoods.

They drive PU trucks, burbs, and eXersions. What's really sick is on my wife's side of the family. There are 2 H2s and 2 H3s.

I work at a factory of about 1000. I bought my Prius last year in April. I'm still the only one with a Prius. There are many, many PU trucks and Suvs in the parking lot at work.
