At this point in time, it will be another Prius! :D Hopefully by the time my '08 needs replacing there will be more solar/plug in. :)

I haven't given it a whole lot of thought. My '94 Civic only has 47,000 miles on it and I should be able to double that at least. Prius is brandy new, so that doesn't need replacement any time soon.
Guess by the time it's car buying time for me again, I'll have to see what's on the market. Haven't ruled out another Prius, wonder what they'll be like in 5-10 years?

I imagine we'll be in the market for a minivan in the coming years (pains me to even type that) so we are hoping either the Estima comes to US market or they put HSD in a Sienna. I'm also looking forward to seeing what Honda has coming to the market in the next few years. They have been under the radar but the hybrid version of the FCX could be a really interesting option.

My Prius is only a week old, but my husband's car is a 2004 Camry V6 that only gets about 25-28 mpg. I would estimate that we will be looking at either a second Prius or a Camry Hybrid in 2012. I haven't driven anything but a Toyota since 1975, so it would take a significant advantage in a Honda to get me to switch.

The Camry Hybrid has about the same mpg as what you already have. It might get better you never know.

Certainly it will be something fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.

My car is all of one day old, but my dh's 2005 has the carpool stickers that expire in 2011. That is right when my son turns 16 so we will most likely keep it for him and we'll get something new for dh then. Hopefully there will be another carpool lane option for him at that time.

In 2015 my Prius will be 10 years old.

If Tesla has an EV sedan for the proposed $30,000 or thereabouts...that's what I'll buy.

If not I may wait. If Toyota has an EV Prius hatchback in the works I'll wait for that.

If no one has anything I'll go with the plug-in Prius which hopefully *will* be available by then.

    (What Volt?)

    2010 or 11 Prius maybe.

btw, a salesdude at Sunnyvale Toyota said he guarantees the 2010, next gen Prius will have the 1.8L motor like in the Corolla.
