    2008 FJ Cruiser. I drive 50-60 miles per day so 50+ mpg vs 20-21 mpg ? It was a no brainer.

    When I first moved here, I borrowed my mother-in-law's Golf for a year. I get three times the MPG out of the Prius that I got out of that.

    And before that, a 94 Mercedes CL 600, in Hong Kong. Oooh, it was comfortable. But it was not cheap to run.

    That car wouldn't take off even if there was a rocket behind it. :)

    1987 Caddy with 4 people in it: 4 people x 12mpg = 48 people miles per gallon.

    2004 Prius with just me inside: 1 person x 48mpg = 48 people miles per gallon.

    2004 Prius with my family of 4: 4 people x 48mpg = 192 people miles per gallon.

    'Nuff said!
