My old ford Explorer, my wife a Escape... not a hybrid we had to get a new car it 4 months before it came out. I had been holding out for the hybrid but her car literally blew up. What are you going to do?

Our other car is a 2001 Subaru Outback. Great car except it seems to have an appetite for clutches.

My weekend ride is a mint 1995 Jaguar XJS 6.0L V12 one of the last before the XK8 came out - and don't even ask what kind of MPG this beast gives me ........... it is however an amazing piece of automotive art and an absolute blast to drive.

Our family wagon is a 7 seater 2005 Mitsubishi Montero limited - the 'wife' hogs the Prius most of the time and occasionally lets me drive her 'other' baby when she dosen't need it....

    Happy New Year everybody.

My 2005 Mercedes S430 lease is up in a month... I will miss it dearly... what is amazing, is that after having such an amazing car (and many before it) is that I can tolerate the Prius and sometimes even enjoy it... of course, not paying upwards of $1k/month on a lease will be very nice. Thankfully, in LA the perks of the Pri are heavy and the cache is still there.

    Wife's Car - 2005 Prius #4 Driftwood Pearl "Midas"
My Car - 2001 silver Honda Insight "Astro"

I got the Insight by default because she is prego and can't sit down into the little thing. I guess I'll live not being able to drive the Prius for awhile - as long as her water doesn't break while she is driving it!!!

Lincoln isn't on the list but we have a Land Yacht 2005 Navigator just to cast a big shadow over our new 2006 Prius to keep it cool! Actually, I think this is the best of both worlds as the daily driver is the Prius and the Gator is for hauling stuff, trips, and 4 wheeling in our Michigan winters.

Our other cars are in various states of repair and restoration:

    1960 Triump TR3
    1959 Austin Healey "Bugeye" Sprite
1984 Jeep CJ7 (our true go anywhere vehicle)

no discount on the prius, too much demand and too little stock. we could have gotten a camry or matrix or anything else for 50 over invoice but oh well. didn't want one after seeing the prius.

his camry is an 87 model year, bought it for $1000 and fixed it up for cheap shortly before we got the prius. now runs great, just needs a couple minor things he's been putting off. (he wants to replace the manual door locks and windows with the power window modules he took from his other camry) the prius is our first new car.

almost picked up an 04 prius last week that someone traded on an 06 for 12K but it's out of our current budget. think his next car will be a scion tc, he can get a trade for well under 10k when we're ready.

definitely some advantages to working at the dealer. but it's hard work, takes a lot out of him. and he's not home much. so there's a big downside there.

I was thinking once I get a Prius I should go work for Toyota after they start getting a bunch of them in. I bet once I fall in love with a Prius I could sell a bunch of them easily. LOL

My wife drives our 05 Prius, which replaced a 95 Camry. I drive a 01 Tahoe, which I just bought used to replace a 98 Infiniti QX4. Needed something with more towing power to pull our new camper. It hurts to fill the gas tank - the best I've gotten is 16.6 mpg so far <_< - but man those heated leather seats are soooo nice and comfy during a December like we just had here in Wisconsin. Frigid temperatures and 15 inches of snow this month - it's going to be a long winter. Fortunately, our Prius did great in the snow with the ComforTreds I put on when we got the car. I was really worried that we would be in "traction control hell", but so far my wife is very pleased with slippery road handling.

My wife drives the '04 Outback Wagon which replaced my '94 Ford Explorer.
I drive our new '05 Prius, which just replaced her used '98 Ford Taurus.

I am presently recovering from surgery, resting at home. The wife has been driving the Prius this week and liking it too much.

My son drives a '02 Mitzubishi Galaxy.

Why would I own another car? The only time in my life I've ever owned two cars was during the few days after buying a new one and before the old one was sold. But both my Jeep and my Civic sold almost immediately after I bought their respective replacements.
