What is your favorite green product?

The one I had did make electricity when I shook it. A minute of shaking would produce a few minutes of light, and then the light would fade and go out. Supposedly it had a capacitor to store the electricity. But the last time we had an outage, and I tried to use it after a year or so, it didn't produce any light at all.

I also have a crank flashlight-radio combination that could be charged by its own solar cells, or by a DC adapter, or by a crank. When I tried it yesterday, a full minute of hard cranking gave me about a minute of light, which then faded and went out.

So both devices are crap.

I also have a propane lantern. The mantles disintegrate slowly after the first use, so I have to always have a fresh mantle on hand, but it gives more light and is more reliable. I can actually read by it.
