the snorkel doesnt do much, my car is salvage i run it without the snorkel i guess it properly mixes the air from inside the engine compartment with air from underneath the fender apron.

The oil is very important for the a/c system. But i know many of the members on this forum wont approve of this, what i did was just vacuumed and recharged my system with 134A when i rebuilt it, i didnt put oil because based on my observations the oil collected in the compressor.

You could just pull a vacuum and recharge with 134A until the air blows cold.

I posted in other threads, the info on purchasing ND11 type oil from car quest, and it is now also available in 3 oz recharge cans. I have plenty of oil, and can sell anyone enough to recharge it they want. However, the cans are now available, and you can use that to add some oil to a sealed system. http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-prius-care-maintenance-troubleshooting/68898-ac-oil-charge.html

    okay guys here we go
spend half a day on the car:

    1. the AC is missing a hose that goes from condensor to back toward the dash there is a small and a bigger pipe I am missing the small one.
so that is for the AC

    2. I can feel warm air from the AC when i turn it on that explains the Snorkel.

    3. the P0453 problem is because the stupid body shop lost my Vapor pressure sensor and never installed it so there was just a loose cable instead.

so tomorrow i am heading toward a junk yard with some priuses to get the snorkel, ac Hose, vapor pressure sensor
    everything else looks good
    ready for the salvage inspection...

The snorkel is for the engine, not the passenger cabin. That air comes from the grill in front of the windshield. You will need to replace the AC hose, get the system vacuumed out and recharged, and you should add some oil, ND11 type. Of course, you can wait on that until later. I don't think it matters for the salvage inspection if the CEL is on anyway. They just want to see that you have documents for all the parts that were purchased, so they know they are not hot parts. They look at body parts and airbags.

yeah I have the receipts and pictures.

    2 more questions:

    1. the driver side of my car was in accident
I changed almost all of the right side the center pole , rocker, 2 doors , fender but the driver door doesn't close smoothly and dash board plastics are not 100% aliened
I have never done such a big job on a car
should I have expected a better job from the body shop or these are normal for such a big damage?

    2. if I do the salvage inspection in NJ and register the car in NY does anyone know if my NY title will say rebuilt on it?
I just don't want to lose my Hybrid warranty...
    anyway around it?

the warranty is gone....it will always have salvage on the title and vin, so when you go to a dealer they will flag it..

they would not run a carfax on it so as long as the title does not say rebuilt they wouldn't know...

unless the insurance company reports the salvage titles to the company or someone down the line has taken it to dealer I can not imagine that dealer would know which car is salvage title.. of course once you look at the mess under the car you know it has been in an accident or 2.
but yeah we need a toyota tech to confirm this,,

If the NJ title is salvage, you will have a Salvage title forever, and you will not have a warranty, although Toyota may not check. As far as body work, if it was done correctly, it is almost impossible to tell. But, you should not expect to save money rebuilding a car, unless you can do most of the work yourself, and/or cut some corners.

if you have a salvage title you have no warranty what so ever. I went to the dealer once just to see and they basically brushed me off ( I have two rebuilt prius's ), they need the VIN to do service, once they put it in they can see it.
