I agree about newbie PriusChatters not searching before starting threads and/or asking within threads, but in fairness to them, search functionality is cumbersome at best. Using "PC Search" takes a ton of patience to review all the word results and threads it returns. I have better results with Google search. IMO Also, PC continues to be slower for me than other online resources I use.
Hey guys. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I notice that my MPG is increasing. Is this normal? Do other people notice the same thing? Should I be concerned? (just kidding. twittel mentioned people starting new threads and asking new questions in existing threads)
Well I have scientifically mis-dis-non-proven your and Tony's observations slash the universal balance of fuel economy because once I got 29.3 on a tank and today it was warmer and I filled up and I got 29.2, therefore your science is wrong and warmer weather produces lower mpgs because it's a fact. Which brings up another point, I'm only getting 29 mpg, is that normal????

Never felt comfortable or normal driving it, spent countless hours on seat mods and still lost $14k for driving 15k miles. It taught me a life lesson - I hate crappy seating in a car! * I dislike how people refer to 'how nice the rear seat leg room is' in 2nd gen Prius. Wth? Excuse me, I'm the driver, I don't give a rats nice person about rear seat leg room which btw, was a few inches too much. Doesn't even have that much headroom in rear seat, so why have extra legroom? 3rd gen has great proportions, so nice comeback. I dislike when people refer to driver's headroom as the only indicator whether a car fits a person or not - excuse me, but I'm sitting on my nice person and thighs, how about fit and support for that?
If the rear seat was so great, why was my head always touching the glass of the rear window. But, as the driver, I really didn't care. Having the exact same seat as the Matrix up front, I cared about. Now I also have some disdain over the use of the 1.8 engine in the gen3. It sounds like in order to get the highest city mpg possible, I have to go back to the gen2 and its uncomfortable front seat.
Oh, good Lord, I had to read this three times before I caught on and realized who posted! Nice...:biggrin1:
I drove my car for last week with tires at 42 psi and noticed a fuel economy drop over 35 psi. So I have proved you guys wrong. Also noticed that driving using p&g is ineffective!
What's that big box under the passenger's seat? The FM radio reception sucks. Any good deals on XM radio? How is the Prius in snow? Does the Prius come with a standard transmission? And for FHOP: We haven't had a good bubonic plague thread for awhile.
I'm surprised that nobody ever started a thread asking what kind of tires to get. Maybe I'll get the ball rolling...
Ditto. I hate the above, esp. when it comes to fuel economy complaints w/scant or no info. I or a bunch of posters ask a bunch of questions and hear nothing in reply. If I only got $1 for each of those...
