I used textured "shark skin" neoprene, cloth on one side, neoprene on the other, for lining the cup holder bottom and the change pocket under the hand brake. The material is heavy enough to stay put, but one could always use 3M mounting tape.

Got the tint job done. Legal in the front, limo in the back.

Looks great! Really like that limo tint in the back. We have a lot of lifted trucks here, some with aftermarket lights and the tint really helps out when driving at night.

Picked up this OEM rear bumper guard. The part number is PT73852120. I like the rubber versions instead of the chrome or metal look ones.

^ Awesome. That was something my wife found & insisted on for ours, and it has probably already helped given the sheer frequency of luggage across that bumper.

Looks bad a**. I love that color. One day, when I've saved enough for my dream car, it will be THAT color, maybe a bit lighter.

BTW, did you paint the headlight housings, or do the 2018s come that way?

Thanks! They are the stock LED headlights for 2018-2019. I think the 2016 C Persona had OEM black housings which would apply to the 2012-2017 body style.

2015-2017. 2012-2014 did not have LEDs and they are different housings, unfortunately.

DynaPad cut to fit under the cargo liner. I've never tried this product so figured what the heck. It's surprisingly heavy. One of the nice things about our cars and other small cars is we don't need much material for projects. There is enough in the box to cover the cargo space and maybe the rear wheel wells, cvt hump or even part of the passenger side firewall. Due to the weight of the product I'm just using it in the cargo area, mainly to cover the end section of the exhaust pipe and spare tire well. Results? Nothing mind blowing to be honest but hopefully combined with other mods (Dynaliner over the door vapor barriers and generic thinsulate) there will be a solid improvement to lower NVH. The car is already pretty quiet cruising around local streets, I just like to try different things out. Will venture out to the highway soon and see how it all performs.

The highway is where you'll notice. Once those noisy tires get through the empty wheel wells, it makes a ton of noise. On back streets the stock PC is pretty quiet, as you stated.

Found this cool Rightcar Solutions silicone license plate frame online for $15. I thought the concept was neat, eliminate license plate rattle and give it a nice clean look. I don't know if it's something with the shape of the Virginia license plate but the fitment is a little off around the bottom edges, particularly near the drainage slots. You can see where it's lifting up. So just an FYI for those looking into it.

That's a good point about the wheel wells. I owned a couple Honda CR-Z's over the years and thinsulate was used in a lot of places, one was over the rear shock towers covers. This probably cut noise from the wheel well and rear suspension. As you can see in the image I tried to duplicate it using a small section but I couldn't get it to stick to the cover so I just cut a much larger section and laid it over the shock mount in the C. Be interesting to see if it helps any.

I was reading about the NVH techniques used to make the Lexus LS quiet and thicker fender liners was on the list. The other was thinsulate type material over the liner. I was surprised to find that the front fender liners of the Prius C had a similar treatment. I haven't actually looked at mine to verify but if it's true that's pretty cool.

Installed the factory door edge guards. I was going to go with a 3M clear film but figured the extra protection was worth it. I used the rubber side of a hammer to tap them into place.

It's not my favorite shift knob but I like the simple look and there is something satisfying about the round shape in your hand. Maybe it's all those years of driving a manual transmission. Might sit a tad bit lower than stock. It's not a weighted knob (.07kg) and I think the chrome is just a plastic finish. The bottom half is a dark gray plastic. Toyota/Lexus Part # 33504-53020

The snow tires came off and the regular ones went back on. I noticed considerable rust on the chrome of the lug nuts given that they've only had one season in the salt.

I had it out for a good test drive which served as a reminder of how awesome this thing sounds now that I've replaced all the speakers, and how much of a pain in the butt it is to use an iPhone for music playback (from storage) these days. I've got my eye on a Sony walkman to take over that job.

@CoolPrius I dig the shift knob. I'd love to have some fun with that (hockey stick, tap handle etc) but since my wife drives the car about 9x as much as me, I can't go too wild. Gotta pick my battles.

I used some generic clear edge molding for our doors. One doors' worth fell off after 5 months, but then I got a big roll of it for $11 so it's not the end of the world.

The license plate condom is nifty too. I used a few strips of bicycle handlebar grip tape behind the plate on ours. It gives the correct lack of sound now.

As I have the day off today (and the wife doesn't) I finally got around to installing the Stebel Nautilus horn (aka WOLO Bad Boy) that I have laying around in the garage that I took off the last car. I have missed not having it on- very helpful to remind other drivers with their attention on their cell phones that this small grey car is there so please don't hit me.....
