Thanks @OldNo7, Yes, It is plastic-dip... did the tires, emblems, and the Side brake lights. I taped off the whole brake light and ran a line of tape on the rear "Paint Stop line". I then made a template out of parchment paper/Wax paper so I was able to see the reflector I was not painting. Cut the paper template out, applied wide packing tape to parchment paper cut the tape out using the pattern. Pulled the tape off paper (Easily comes off the glossy side of paper) applied tape to my hand a few times to reduce the stickiness so I could get the tape off light later. Applied reflector shape tape to car. spray according to plastic-dip instructions (found great instruction on YouTube channel "DipYourCar") After 6 coats I lifted the corner of tape with exacto knife. Its looked and worked great. ;-)

Installed some seat heaters and put on some clazzio seat covers

Was a 4 hours install (I pre-wired the seat heaters a few days earlier, since I got them first in the mail and also didn't want to deal with everything all at once)...a few sore fingers and torn nails. Could've been faster, but I got confused with the rear seat holes and thought I needed to undo the seatbelt screws and redo the seatbelts through the clazzio holes, but no, so some wasted time there.

It is much nicer (comfort and look) compared to softex...also the seat heaters ($47) are working pretty well (it's getting to be in the 40s nowadays) , 2 heat settings compared to the c4 oem seat heaters 1 setting

Only regret is...I should've spent a few more dollars for the full rectangle seat heater switch, instead of the round switch, for a cleaner install

Here's a dashcam project using the entry level GoPro. I placed the stock flat 3M sticky mount next to the rear view mirror attachment and used a J-mount.

Hardwired up a GoPro to the map light 12v with one of these (wired-in left hand Mini USB):

I used the blue wire for the 12v and the black wire for the ground. (use the other wire on the far left instead for a constant 12V. The blue one on the right turns off automatically after about 15 min of driving. Actually, I later rewired it up to a true 12V ACC from the mirror adjust/control and routed the wire through the pillar and attached the wires to the airbag wiring harness while making sure the wire was not interfering with the airbag.) I took each pin out of the harness plug and soldered the wire to the pin at the crimp. Sorry, no pictures of the wiring (didn't think to take pictures).

This model is almost perfect for a dash cam because it comes with a "skeleton" back that enables direct access to the usb port (for charging/hardwiring). Too bad the software on this model doesn't support "looping" mode. On the other hand, I have a 3+ as well, and the usb port on that is on the side and inaccessible with the housing on. The usb cord tucked in neatly with the wire for the backup camera mirror.

Here are pics of the final install:

[edit]: Update - I ended up wiring it up to the mirror control 12v acc and routed the wire through the pillar and out of the way of the airbag.

    Hi yOsHI,

I got your message but don't know why.... I just couldn't have a conversation with you.

That page keeps showing something like "Please type valid message" after I did type the words.

Anyway, I thought you are from Taiwan because I saw that sticker, curious where you got that sticker.

Not sure if you could read and type Chinese. If you could, welcome to join us and share any interesting things about your Prius C. Prius C Club - Powered by Discuz!

That's a Crimestopper mirror from Amazon. It has a 3.5" screen for my backup camera.

Did you notice a bit of a smaller fit aka narrower and larger body line gap than the original? I know mine is authentic but meh...

I guess there is a very very subtle difference between the width of the car's body and the spoiler

I thought about putting in some led strips as footwell/back area lighting, but decided against it after installing some COB led panels into the dome light... So bright

I got my green 2015 C 4 on October 23rd and so far I have gotten the windows tinted and ordered the Weather Guard window rain guards. I have been looking through the mod section for inspiration and have a few ideas. To be completely honest I was not really all that excited about trading in my Tundra for the Prius C, but it is really growing on me. I have a long commute that is 100% freeway and have been getting right around 44 mpg, so that is an improvement over the 17ish mpg I was getting in the truck.

Some of the things I am thinking about are vinyl on the lower door body lines, around the front badge to under the head lights, and inside the licenses plate recess on the rear hatch. I am thinking of doing black and synergy drive blue color combo to accent the green. I do like some of the body kits that are available in Japan, but the cost and shipping seem to be way higher than necessary. I would also like to do some in cabin lighting mods, such as under the dash, in the "trunk", and brighter blue led for the domes lights. Then there is the TRD start button, but I have only been able to find it one place so far and for well over $200 USD seems to me to be a ridiculous price tag, but I still want it.

If anyone has suggestions on things to do or places to find parts for reasonable prices I am always looking for good info.

An update. I received the Weather Tech window rain guards yesterday and installed them this morning. It was quick and easy. Even in the rain, I was just too excited to wait.
Yesterday, I picked up a stainless steel bolt on exhaust tip, because that sad looking pipe hanging out just below the bumper is very sad to look at. And against my better judgement, I bought that angry green skull shift knob that you see all Autozone and uses plastic cap over the threaded section of the shift and 3 set screws in the knob to "clamp" it to the plastic cap. I knew I was going to hate it, and I do. I am looking for a thread on knob, preferably in green or round TRD one.
I am looking for led replacements for all of the lights in the car that aren't already led. Dome/map, license plate, cargo area, and whatever other lights are left. Any suggestion on brand or manufacturer?

[IMG]Replaced front parking light with an LED.

[IMG]Front parking light lit. Amazingly white compared to the default amber oem one.

[IMG]Replaced lic plate bulb with a 1W LED

[IMG]The backside of the passenger side turn signals and fogs, along with wiring I put together to power everything.

[IMG]Newly installed DRLs taking up about 350mA

[IMG]Testing the DRLs before I bolt back in the fender.

[IMG]Forward parking camera tucked under the front lic plate, facing 45 degrees down.

[IMG]Front camera lights up when turned on. Not sure how I feel about that yet.

[IMG]Forward parking camera adjusting to where I want it

[IMG]Testing the fogs before I bolt everything back up. Shows I need a fuse to cover ~3A of power.

Still have to make switches/relays and stick them in the console, but the bulk of the weekend project is done. Next weekend, weather/work/classwork permitting, will be solar panels on the rear view mirror and the rest of the switching to make the fogs and DRLs work.

Random question for ya, where/how did you route wires from grill to inside the car? I have a front camera but found no feasible way to push wires through other than drilling a hole facing downwards. very space limited and didn't want to punch through main loom's grommet and tear it.

Heya. I followed the path this fog install used:
http://www.trdsparks.com/install/00016-47160inst.pdf. In short, they get you to pierce the grommet that holds the hood release cable in place and run your wire in through there. I used this same method for the radar detector, DRLs and forward camera.
