    I'm not going to drive somewhere to plug in my car. The cars job is to cater to me, not vice versa.

    So this would give me 4 x .6 = Dollar cost per charge. That's small enough to ask for.

    Thanks guys! (y)

    I don't get what you think 4 x .6 = Dollar is.
    Your max charge is going to be about 3 kwh.

    Cost = 3 kwh x dollars/kwh
    for example if you get charged $0.10/kwh:
    cost = 3 kwh x $0.10/kwh = $0.30

    Man, that you are paying so little per KWH, I'm envy you.....
    It used to cost me 28 cents per KWH at residential rates before the PV solar install. At work I'm being charge 17 cents a Kw at commercial rates tho.

    This past weekend I had a client meeting that was a group meeting on the future of the company. Was happy to know I am involved in that future.

    There is a garage less than a mile away that has charging, so I parked there. (Client has garage but no EV charging).

    Ended up being a 3.5 hour meeting. Paid $8 for parking, and $4 to Blink for .30 cents of electricity.

    What really chapped my hide was (as i was leaving and a bit t'd off over the high price of parking) the EV station next to me was being squatted by a VOLT who did NOT plug in. What if a poor leaf driver needed the juice?! What a jerk.

    I thought garages had FREE plugin stations. That's so lame.

    To be fair, you did the same thing. Your car was fully charged after 1.5 hours and you squatted for 2 more hours after that. If you did move your car, then I apologize, the context led me to assume $4 = 4 hours. Otherwise, tea, kettle, black.

    In a Walt Disney World I could have excused myself from a client meeting to go move my car out of courtesy to someone else, but I don't live that world. Intention was to only be in a 2 hour meeting.

    Someone who parks in an EV station with no intention of even plugging in, that is another story.

    In my world, they're the same thing: taking up an EV spot and not charging. I'm not criticizing you, though. To be completely honest, I would've done the exact same thing. Being that I would have every intention to move after a complete charge. But in the real world, that isn't always possible.
