Howay Darell! It's good to see that you drink proper beer. Congrats on the l'il one, Dave. Now the adventure begins.

But what's that you're holding again? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(tripp @ Apr 10 2007, 02:45 PM) </div> Oh, heck yeah. Some of the best beer I've ever had is made less than a mile from my house. And I'm making a concious effort to buy more beer made with sustainable power. The New Belgium guys have it down - plus they offer some snazzy, top-end jerseys at good prices. I was recently asked if New Belgium Brewery sponsors me. Ha. No. I sponsor THEM! One more on the topic. Regional specialty "smoked beer" in Bomberg, Germany. It is like drinking a ham sandwich!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(nerfer @ Apr 10 2007, 09:46 AM) </div> You can't be trusted with the drip torch, eh? I'll keep that in mind if I run into you out there. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(darelldd @ Apr 10 2007, 07:37 PM) </div> lol. I didn't notice that!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(nerfer @ Apr 10 2007, 07:46 AM) </div> Now that is a great action pic. Ecological restoration!
Late to the party but here we go... [attachmentid=7436] Picture taken at Niagara Falls (Canadian side) last summer.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(usbseawolf2000 @ Apr 11 2007, 04:13 PM) </div> You got a nice clear day for that shot. Very cool!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(darelldd @ Apr 10 2007, 06:37 PM) </div> It's the nozzle end of the water hose. You have to pump it for it to spray, but I had to always keep it pointing up or it would slowly drip. The size of my hose doesn't make you nervous does it? And no, I haven't used the drip torch, but this is a step up from the flappers (altho much heavier, doesn't look that big in the picture, but consider that 5 gallons of water > 40 pounds and this older setup isn't terribly ergonomic). I have a 1 minute video clip (requires QuickTime 7) at http://www.citizensforconservation.org/Pic...ws_20060408.asp (haven't figured out how to keep it in a formatted page yet, so you have to click on the link in the text to bring up the movie in another window).
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(nerfer @ Apr 11 2007, 08:26 PM) </div> Been there, done that. Well, yeah. A little bit!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(darelldd @ Apr 10 2007, 05:37 PM) </div> Never been a fan of Rausch Bier myself. I don't like smoked porters for the same reason. Yes, New Belgium does a good job. You should only drink beer made within 100 miles of your house. Unfortunately, for me that includes Bud and Coors.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(tripp @ Apr 12 2007, 07:40 AM) </div> The first swig scared me. The last half was enjoyable. I get extra credit for drinking so much from so near! Ooooh. Ouch. To be fair, that includes Budweiser for me! (about 30 miles).
Here I am on a trip last weekend to survey the damage done to the environment by the Prius. There's nothing for miles around that nickel plant but the slag created by selfish Prius buyers. Very sad. [attachmentid=7462]
i don't have any pictures involving beer that i'd feel comfortable posting here... is that a bad thing?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sunnyvale Prius @ Apr 12 2007, 07:45 PM) </div> Reminds of me what the Columbia River Platue basalt flood probably looked like 15million years ago. lol
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(F8L @ Apr 13 2007, 07:50 AM) </div> Yeah, it probably did look pretty close to that. It's actually the caldera of Mauna Loa in Hawaii.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sunnyvale Prius @ Apr 13 2007, 08:01 AM) </div> It is a pretty cool pic.
