Is this OTD price or price before TTL? And where are you located.

Just curious if I got an ok deal. What did you pay out the door for your 2017 Prius 2? Mine is Blizzard Pearl so it was a little more for the color.

Yes I guess mine got moved to the others but that's about a 2016. I was asking about a 2017. $19,500 out the door seems pretty cheap if that's a 2017.

MSRP on mine was $26,225. Normally $26,170 but they added $55 for the black shifter appliqué. Mine was $24,500 out the door bought in Santa Barbara, CA.

I just bought a 2016 Prius Three Touring for 337 a month for 72 months with 4,300 down. Did I get a good deal? My tax rate is 9%.

Mach, sounds like you paid around 28k ([72*337]+4300)? That doesn't sound too bad, did you get any add ons/Warranty? Also did you go through Toyota Finance or bank?

I paid 26.3k OTD from a SF Bay Area Dealer for a Blue Prius 2016 with the Advanced Tech Package, it also came with the All weather Mats, rear bumper applique, and door edge guards. Tax rate in CA is around 9-9.5%. Other details was my Credit Union gave me a APR of 2.49% for 60 months, I was in a good position to put down a large down payment which helped as well.

I think the price with the $2500 cash back was just under 24k. I opted to go with my local credit Union's car buying service which pre negotiated the pricing, it was just a little below the initial quotes for "internet pricing". I'm sure I could have gotten a little cheaper, but I really wanted the blue color and those are getting more rare and the thought of driving far + Negotiation made going with Credit Union a better experience. The Credit Union could have even had the car delivered to my front door if I wanted. For some reason in the bay area, there are whole bunch of silver 3 with ATP.

Bob, I didn't get any add-ons besides floor mats but the dealership I bought it from extended the 2 year ToyotaCare to 3 years. Also, they gave me 10 years of free oil changes. Is your 26.3k OTD price includes financing? Sounds like you got an awesome deal.

Hi guys, ignore MSRP and find out what the invoice price is. Try to pay at invoice or below invoice. Destination charge, registration fees, and taxes are legitimate, "Dealer prep" and all those other b.s. charges are not. Dealers make money on those extended warranty packages they pressure you to buy when signing the papers. Politely, but firmly, tell them that you are not interested in buying these.

From the Consumer Reports and Costco websites, you can see that the Prius V Four invoice price is $27,644. Last weekend, I bought a new 2017 Prius V Four for that price. Since Toyota was offering a $1500 rebate, that was deducted from the $27,644, and after destination charge, registration, and California's 9% sales tax, final price was just under $30,000.

Toyota recently offering those rebates on Priuses and Prius V's signals that those cars have not been selling well recently--why else would Toyota be offering these incentives? That means that demand is weak and that dealers are eager to get rid of these cars. So you should not be paying more than invoice. Who knows, I probably could have gotten below invoice had I pushed harder. There was another dealer who was trying to get me to pay way above invoice but then caved in and offered at invoice when I told him another place was offering the car at invoice.

Negotiate everything over email and get it in writing that they'll sell you the car at invoice. Be strong during the paper signing and ignore their sales pitches to buy extended warranties. It's as simple as that. Good luck!

I'm bummed the Prius Prime seats only 4. Opted for 2016 Prius Three for 24k OTD in CA (9% tax). Good deal?

Price paid was $25,580 out the door for a 2016 Four. I took $3,000 cash in lieu of 0% financing and there was also holiday cash from Toyota. Financed through SETF at 3.09% for 60 months.

It was a great deal - especially in light of the circumstance. My '15 Four was totaled a few days earlier. Thankfully no one was injured.

I had an offer in hand through Costco for a dealer two hours away. I went by a dealership from whom I've already purchased a '10 and '14, and gave them a chance to match. Yes, below invoice, but $3,000 in lieu of 0% and there was Toyota holiday cash, too. Prius BO.jpg

    TOYOTA PRIUS PACKAGE 3

    MSRP: $27,310

    -$3000 Toyota Rebate

    -$2915 dealer discount

    Price for vehicle $21,395

    + Tax/Fees - $2408.75

    = total $23,803.75

I'm thinking this is a pretty good deal - though I went in looking for a 2017 Package 2 -- any downside to getting a 2016 now?

TSS-P safety features are standard on the 2017 but only available with an optional package on 2016. The features were not available on the Two or Eco.

I bought mine in the Washington DC area. I drove 150 miles & saved $2000 compared to my local dealer.
For California, I would try @DianneWhitmire from Carson Toyota if she is near enough. Many PC users have has good success with the "High PRIUStess".

Haha -- Yeah - I've heard great things - but I'm about 350 miles away - 150 would be nice! Plus - the NorCal rebate is $3K and the SoCal is $2K - I'm definitely getting it done by Tuesday - just trying to figure it all out ....
