What did you do to your Prius today?

Drove to Olympia to the Farmer's Market - drove back to Aberdeen and shopped at Jay's Fruit stand - drove home, sat for quite awhile in backed up traffic (road work), listening to the silence of the Prius amongst all those other vehicles that were making noise (and smog).

Someone asked about our "Wag More - Bark Less" sticker today, too... so I explained a sticker on the Prius.

 

Drove 550 miles. Wind, a little rain, and a dust storm in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. Prius handled the wind pretty well, better than the Gen2 would have.

I'll post some notes from this trip when I get back home. Having a great time, wish you were here. I'm in Show Low, AZ this evening, I'm going to see the big Meteor Crater tomorrow.

 

I tracked it on vesseltracker and put the financing in place at my credit union.

 

I hauled a bunch of office supplies in my Prius today (new chair, large box of printing paper, etc.). Always impressed with how much room it has. For doing such a great job, I washed it and used the shammy to get rid of any moisture drops.

Gotta work to keep the black Prius clean!

 

I went to the dealer, bought my new Prius, learned how to turn it on, put it in gear, turn on the lights and wipers, and drove it home.

Picked up my husband at the train station, and he couldn't find me (new car and all).

 

I drove to work with the sunroof open and passed 800 total miles... Still driving on my second tank of gas. Coworkers are jealous.

 

Checked the tire pressure.

 

I gave my Prius the day off - I worked from home. I did spend a bit of time here researching grill blocks (old threads, broken links, sigh) and snow tires. The temps are dropping here in NE and my baby may need some mods for the winter.

 

Had paint protection film installed. I think she liked it.

 

I tightend the oil cap on the engine.

 

I fed her.

 

I installed a Curt trailer hitch and topped off the tank :cheer2:

 

Washed her for the first time. Went OK. Drying didn't go too well so there's lots of spots. Need to find a better drying scheme, and probably need to wash windows where spots are most noticeable.

Gave her first fill up since dealer. 9.2 gallons.

Had possible first Prius rage/envy incident. SUV driving erratically and yelling something out the window (a passenger, not the SUV itself). Very weird.

Received rubber floormats and cargo mat from PriusChat shop. Installed.

Received RejeX stuff recommended on this forum. Will try it next time I wash, after I figure out better drying routine.

Busy day for my girl!

 

Taking mine to a high school fall baseball double-header. Fun stuff!

 

Not a Gen3, but I bought a new bottle of Meguiar's protectant and used it on all exterior trim pieces. I haven't been very faithful to do exterior trim so far, but I'd like to keep them from deteriorating.

I have my VIN number, just no car yet.

But perhaps on Monday or Tuesday I will be driving my IV/Solar/SafetyConnect/iPhone back from the dealer.
