Well....because of the Cali drought, I took advantage of the little rain shower we had today and wiped the car clean just in time for the sun to dry it off completely.:D

Installed an exhaust tip…. IMG_9730.JPG Verdict is still out… I'm not liking the exhaust tip but am liking it… I'm indifferent either way. I don't want to convey the wrong emotion of the Prius when people see it.. IDK.. thoughts? Keep it? Get rid of it?

Keep it. I had one at one time but had to get rid of it because it does not work with the prius plus kit.

The look is suttle and not overbearing. Gives the exhaust a nicer finish.(y)

Today...I got the giant box delivered by UPS! Got home from work around 7 PM...after 35 minutes it's all done! Test drive at local city speed...not loud at all it has a nice low tone! Highway speed 65 mph no droning at all it has a nice tone while gas it to speed up.

Gave my prii front right passenger side wheel curb rash This week. Arrrh...

I I think is like $100 per wheel for curb rash repair.

Used touch up paint for now.

Maybe professional repair when when I collect all the curb rash the wheels can handle.

I had the same thoughts, questions, doubt before I order it. I called Tanabe USA and ask many many question I think of, their support seems pretty friendly, so I ordered it.

I drove the car this morning in town city speed it has a nice low "grrrr..." low tone, high way speed at 65 mph at cruising on flat road I heard a very minimum low muffler tone, not like droning make you going nut headache. The fun part is at 70+mph...stepping on it to speed up it seems picks up faster than normal and it has a nice "purrrrrr" pitch tone.:cool::D

I have never upgrade/replace a functional stock muffler on all my previously own car(s). If a well known branded exhaust is made for the Prius, why not upgrade if you can afford it, plus the whole unit is well made and excellent material, just look at how Tanabe package it and ship over here from Japan.

I got many compliment on how clean, nice, kickaxx look of the final installed, I am happy and may be I am the only Prius owner (for now) that has a sport muffler amount thousand of it on the bay area roadway.

It should work okay…. it just attaches to the existing tip. Doesn't hang too low or anything. I've also been driving around several places I noticed on some post somewhere someone's bumper melted or something or other due to putting on a tip. I made sure there was 1/2 inch - an inch clearance from the top of the tip to the bottom of the black trim piece. Seems to be no problem and I drove 2 hours straight.

But I don't think the spring will affect the tip. I think the bodykit is what will be an issue due to the overhang of the kit and the rear exhaust outlet.
