I only had so much time;).

But the remnants of my off-roading in Brentwood remain for now:cool:.

    They’ll get cleaned eventually (y).

Today I took my Prime in for one its freebie Toyota oil change services... All is well.

It was funny to hear some of the stories that the Toyota master technician told me. The most amusing one to me dealt with the female charging port located on the Prime, it turns out that Toyota had to remove some OE rubber O-ring in that area because the chinese poorly made EVSE charge handles that some people buy were so tight fitting that they would occasionally break the charge port on the Prime. Go figure...

Not to say a poorly made EVSE could not damage the port, but Toyota removed the o-ring somewhere between the 2012 and the 2013 PiP because the o-ring would fail which made it hard to plug in the OEM EVSE and it wasn't necessary anyway. No Plug-in Prius has had it since. Lots of threads here about it. ;)

That's funny, and I'm sure what you're saying is very accurate.

The master tech must have "blended" stories, at one point he was definitely talking about the chinese made EVSE units and how that dealership had seen warranty and non-warranty repair work associated with ill fitting clone charge handles. Then he started talking about that O-ring problem, but didn't differentiate between the two.

That sounds very likely. I would not be surprised that some ports have been damaged by bad EVSE designs. And the blending of stories, while not usually deliberate, happens quite often. We've probably all gotten our memories mingled like that.

I've had to 'extract' an out of place 'O-ring' assembly on a public Chargepoint charge handle with my car's flip-out key.
It was keeping the handle from being inserted all the way into the car port.

ChargePoint probably uses cheap chinese parts.

Note: Everything is now 'cheap chinese parts'.

    Installed the OEM roof rack.

Now if USPS would just deliver the bike rack to go on it I'd be all set.

Which rack did you install? Can you please share the part number? I see two different numbers PW301-47005 & PW301-47009. Not sure which one would fit a 2020 Prime.

I ordered the rack from ToyotaPartsDeal.com, and when I ordered it it said it was the PW301-47005 but what was delivered was the PW301-47009, which fit just fine.

According to the Toyota parts site, the -47005 has been replaced by the -47009. Anyway, I had no difficulty installing the -47009 part. That site also gives lists of the vehicles the parts fit.

Today I yanked out my wimpy Prius horns and put in new

72102 FIAMM Freeway Blaster Horn High Tone
72112 FIAMM Freeway Blaster Horn Low Tone

Ohhhh, how sweet the sound . . . . . It actually sounds like a car horn. Not bad for ~$24 grand total from Amazon and 30 minutes labor.

I put in the first one and tested it just to see if it worked. It really sounded weird with one original and one FIAMM. :p The second FIAMM fixed that.

I keep thinking about that. Those are the same horns I had on my last three motorcycles. They WILL wake up an inattentive driver. :D

In fact, I think you just pushed me over the edge. LOL!

Edit to add: Yup over the edge. Due to arrive Thursday.

Question, @Mark57 -- Did they work OK without a relay? I had to use a relay on the motorcycles. I haven't looked yet at the car wiring to see, but I'd think it should handle 12A with plenty to spare. I have relays and wire, so it wouldn't be a big bother if I need them.
