From your post, I have a suspicion we are in the presence of real astro-imaging genius. I think you were being modest. ;) I know, wrong time, wrong forum. :D

Tires: picked up up a set of new oem prime rims and new never mounted michelin xice tires for $700 for all, pretty nice deal-added some autel mx-sensors which I was able to clone to my summer wheels with an older autel ts401 tool after doing software update to tool.Original sensors would only respond to 2019 reg prius not prime setting on tool so a minor bug there. Also tested oem tire inflator with fluid removed from bottle and it worked fine-I would just plug tire if possible-also plan to carry one winter tire as spare.

Hi Ray, Thanks for the quick response. so every thing is totally clear to me. raise the right side, I’m working on the floor, raising at a pinch weld using a electric jack from the cars 12V source. So, I loosen the three screws
At the small somewhat triangular panel and I should see a black filter with white printing on it? Right?
The reason I’m asking is: I just did this today and could not see anything that looked like a oil filter. in reference to the car, is it forward, rearward, left or right of the opening?
On the over torqued filter Iv had mechanics do that to me also. The easiest way is to take a large scewwdriver
And just punch a hole thru the filter and hope you have sufficient turning radius. Can also be messy too.
Glad to see PC has spellchecker again. Thanks.

It's within the confines of the oil change door;).

Now I don't know if you have a canister or the filter element, as I think some early ones had the filter element and then they converted to the spin on later:whistle:.

But if you were under there, it is in the confines of the oil change door along with the drain plug(y).

I replaced the steering wheel trim (part from China) and the gear shift trim (stock toyota replacement) with piano black. Also installed vortex generators on the rear part of the roof.

Im looking into doing a number of modifications and upgrades, little by little.
My first small modifications were a car charger and dashcam. Some of the pics below are to show how well the wires are hidden from view.

Looks cool. Where did you get it? Any link? They look best on white body color, IMO.

    Well done. Look very clean.

Met up with @The Critic today:).

We were the masked mechanics and got the following done on my Prime:

    • oil change
    • Tire rotation
    • Brake inspection
    • Caliper pin lube
    • Oil catch can drain
    • Cat shield install

Catch can seems to be a good idea in the Gen4 / Prime;).

Not a bad way to spend a Sunday(y).

MM's, I commend you on going the extra mile and doing the Caliper pin lube!

What did you find when you opened the boots and pushed out the pins?
And at what mileage was this car?

    You Banditos are an inspiration!!
I need to get after this Preventative Maintenance.
Fortunately for me and my 2 BEV's only Tire Rotation and Brake Insp and Caliper Pins apply!

30k miles on our Prime when the pins were pulled, and there was a light level of grease still there. So worthwhile to pull and add grease:).

Upon reassembly, we made sure to have the pin reseated properly on the pads and not misalign it;).

That trap still exists @Mendel Leisk on the Prime anyway:whistle:.

9 mm of of depth on the front means I have a ways to go before brakes pads are required(y).

How much did you drain, in how long? And considering it’s plug-in, what’s your rough EV %?

    2 ounces in 9 k miles;).

My EV % is around 67%, so between the 10k mile oil change, I probably have about 3300 miles on the engine:).

Given the weather around here isn't that cold, I bet others would collect more .

Might need some other willing participants (y).

This part still bugs me about the Prime. Really Lo-Tech.
High Quality Syn Oil with only 3300 miles....such a waste....
You could save it for the lawn equipment or ???
Nah, too much of a mess....

Now there is a drain valve;).

Should make draining a bit less messy(y).

The Prime is now a week and a half old, so time for its first mod. Well, it wasn’t really a mod but more of an arts and craft project. A friend gave us the rear cargo mat from the Pilot they sold, so my wife no longer needed the felt liner she had in the back of her Pilot. I didn’t want the felt to go to waste, so I used it on the Prime. I should have put the stained side on the bottom, but too late for that. Here are some photos I took of the project.
