I felt like the front end was too high with the TRD springs so I installed the 2010-2011 eBay lip on my 2013. Thinking about color matching, but the black doesn't look bad at all. IMG_20220219_181928.jpg IMG_20220219_182000__01.jpg

Added ijdmtoy blue courtesy lights. They’re super bright! Matches the oem illuminated door sill. Next will be to change the amber foot well lights to the blue lights from the special edition rav4.

Did a test fit of my custom underglow strips.

The end goal is to have an Arduino take the turn signal input and automatically change color to amber and blink on the appropriate side.
Then return to the previous chosen color.

I did something today. At 177640 miles, it’s time for me to say goodbye to my car. I reserved a new car a couple of months ago but luckily for me, the buyer backed out and I picked this up at MSRP despite my wait would be close to 12 months. Loving it so far!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

I guess it been a while since I posted . Over the weekend ended doing the inner tie rod. Toyota only sells it by the entire steering rack. Napa or Amazon sells them by the inner if you don’t want to replace the entire steering rack

New here so figured this would be a great place for a 1st post.

2012 new to me at 105000 and no mats so got the weather techs and left it be... its a prius there's nothing to be done right, I just needed a commute car.

    "Mod list"

    Remove those horrible hub caps
    Black out badging
    20% rear 35% front tint
    Tail light blackout
    6k Led interior and exterior
    8k 24v HIDs (should have done 6k)
25mm wheel spacers all around (need another 5-10 on the rear)

Tanabe springs are in a box waiting to go on
And by the end of May she'll have 1320 V11 blastpipes with muffler delete.

Having issues with uploading files tho so hopefully update later with pics

I got great deals on some 2010/2011 led headlights. Found a driver side headlight with ballast for $96 shipped on FB marketplace and found the passenger side headlight and ballast on eBay for $206 shipped. Halogen to LED harness from Japan was $40 shipped. Only problem is the eBay lens looks a bit cloudy compared to the cheaper FB marketplace lens. Here they are after I used the Turtle wax kit on just the passenger side light. Still not as clear as the driver side. IMG_20220408_115647.jpg

Buy this one. I have used it and it’s fantastic. Everyone I recommended to buy this are also super happy with it. Just follow the instructions for best results.

Mothers Aluminum Polish will clear them up. Simple to use.
Wipe it on, and then use a buffing wheel for drill to buff it off.
Then a micro fiber cloth to wipe it down afterward.

You can get it at walfart for about $6.

I figured I try to compound and polish them up with a drill tomorrow before I try another kit. They made it on the car today and look great! IMG_20220408_175320.jpg IMG_20220408_201252.jpg IMG_20220408_201333.jpg

There are several items you can use. But this for me was inexpensive, and easy!
And only took about 10 each lens.

Not today, but last Friday I won the Mod Hybrid class at the Green Grand Prix at Watkins Glen for the third time. 69.0 mpg over 80 miles on the long course. 4th out of 12 in the Hybrid class at the autocross in the afternoon.

After I recently installed my new steering wheel, I also had to exchange the shift knob for a black one and paint the silver ring black.
The shift knob is from a European Toyota Auris.

Headed to Hybridpit for a brake booster assembly/ABS replacement. Just so everyone knows, dealers are charging ridiculous amounts for this job if you are out of the support program warranty. I was quoted $4280 out the door by Marina Del Rey Toyota. Believe me when I say the guys at Hybridpit took care of me. Also got brand new OEM rotors, pads and fluid. Andrew, Greg and Roger never disappoint. 150k miles of services through these guys. Everything I’ve ever needed. FC322189-954A-41C5-8DA9-C8A65717744A.jpeg

Done something very simple. Ditched the cartridge oil filter housing for a standard housing with spin-on filter.

Friend with a '11 CT200h had a slight problem where one of the connecting rod created an inspection window in the block (car is in the 300,000 km range). We both work at a Toyota dealer and a customer had his engine replaced at 14 km on his Corolla after he hit something directly on the oil pan. So friend got a free block for his Lexus and I've got a free filter housing.

What's making the string-of-pearls light effect I think I'm seeing around the bottom of the shift knob, and around the inner circumference of the trim ring?
