Replaced most of my small incandescent bulbs by LEDs. I had a bunch of 194-style LEDs that had been advertised as also compatible with a smaller bulb, number no longer remembered, for a car we no longer own; the seller refunded my money (because the description was inaccurate) but didn't want them back. I replaced the bulbs in the parking lights, the trunk light, the door lights, and all the interior lights except the dome light (needs a double-ended bulb). The bulbs I have are just a little too long for the number-plate lights.

Replace the rear wheel bearings. It was very easy.
Passenger side bearing was a little harder to remove than the drivers side.
Hammer and punch to rotate the hub counter clockwise, then clockwise a few times loosened it up.
Than a few smacks by the studs, outward then inward and it popped out. It was a pain to remove
    the dust shield.
Drivers side popped out easily. But I had forgotten to remove the connecter for the ABS! So I had to
partially install it so I could get the connector off.

I could hear the bearing dropping as I rotated the hub, though it was quit aside from that.
Drivers side was quite. Neither side had much resistance, so it was time for replacement.
I'm hoping it will drive quieter now. But won't know until I can get on I-95.

The video I watched took the caliper off in 2 pieces. I just removed the 2 bolt and removed the whole thing.
Removing the parking brake cable was super easy too, both sides.

I wired brushed all the rust off and applied anti seize past.

It only took about 2-2.5 hours, as I was not in a hurry.

Now I guess I should wash it, so it will rain! And clean the dog drool off the rear inside windows....

Dumped Liqui Moly valve cleaner this morning, last week was Liqui Moly injector cleaner, ceramic spray coating and specialist PTFE dry lubed all moving metal parts of the sun roof. 62 mpg average from the last oil change which was 7,000 miles ago with new tires.

Since my last post, I've changed wheels twice... I think. A bunch of other stuff. Here's a pic from 2 weeks ago.

I post on IG (twnzy_) in spurts here and there. IMG_20200419_083046_306.jpg

Hello! Which Liqui Moly valve cleaner did you use? Also, which Liqui Moly Injector Cleaner did you use? There are several product numbers when I look them up online. Thanks in advance!

For our line of vehicles, get injector cleaner & valve cleaner with blue cap dispenser, which are to be added with gasoline. Black cap, add to motor oil. Red cap, add to diesel fuel. White cap, add to coolant.

How many miles do you have on yours and average mpgs?

Hi Grit. Appreciate your help. I have a 2014 Prius 3. 130k. Currently running on Firestone LRR. Right now I'm averaging 46-49mpg and I don't drive too crazy (heavy foot). Regular oil changes. I used to run on coilovers for a couple of years, but went back to stock suspension Dec 2016.

Got notification from Buyee that my order is ready to ship. Paid $201 for the shifter and $39 for DHL shipping. Spending a little of my COVID-cash on the car. The rest is put away for Christmas this year.

Thanks! Everything went together perfectly; no issues aligning with the stock heat shield holes or interference with the heat recovery canister. This is a quality piece; I was especially impressed with the vent slats--that's real attention to detail.

How did you install those rivet nuts? Did you buy/borrow/rent a special tool, or did you simply use a bolt? And the security bolts are "security Torx," right? But security Torx bits and drivers are fairly readily available, so I'd be inclined to use something even rarer.

    Edited to show an example:

E.g., Ultra-Lok® Tamper Proof Bolts - Loss Prevention Fasteners

Hey that's great to hear and I humbly take the feedback. This 3rd Gen hit home to me as a Prius driver, we tried to make it something as factory as possible. Something the Toyota dealers would use, and now that they know about it are starting to install them. The louvre designs were tested multiple times to ensure the most clearance from the converter and provide proper ventilation while also maintaining enough regidity to the shield. We added the noise dampeners and spacers because any shield without these there is a very good chance it rattles or vibrates. This is my daily driver and I couldn't stand any sort of rattle. I love how quiet the Prius is and hearing any sort of rattle annoyed me. We ended up testing tons of different designs to make it as good as we could. It's nice to know the effort was noticed and it wasn't seen as just a "converter cover". =) Cheers.

It’s been a minute, damn time flies! If you don’t know I-JDMToy is having an 18% sale. Picked up some new LED and DRL turn signals. Looking forward to the install.

Just a follow up, if someone goes this way. The JDM i-shifter must be offset on the bottom bolt holes. Meaning that when installed, the shifter sits on the single top stud, and right most lower stud, as pictured below. I like the way it turned out, but care must be taken to turn the knob slowly, as the switches inside may not follow your intended shift. I thought the shifter was broken, until I slowed down and clicked it one position at a time.

This is the V1 shifter, the V2 uses a short press for B mode, and a two second hold for N.

For the V2, if you use the Allen wrench, I believe size 2. You can seperate that triangular piece from the shifter itself. Then you can flip triangular piece. So you can make use of both holes.

I’ll look into that tomorrow. I had it out again today, and I saw the holes, figuring that maybe flipping the triangle was a possibility.
