Thanks for the input. Btw those tires are the best imo. I recently just got them and I'm very happy with them!

Gave the Prii a long overdue wash — tested out the new electric pressure washer and foam cannon setup.

Nice. You went back to stock wheels? What happened to your other ones.

I sold my 18” VIP Modular wheels during my part-out last year. Rolled on the stock 15” hubcaps for about a year and just recently traded for these 17” Persona wheels. :)

Ohhhh. How’s your mpg on the personas?? Thinking of getting those next year. My 18” rims now depreciates my mpg by a lot. Lol. That’s what I get for getting these though.

Not too great haha. Took a 3mpg hit but it’s all good. I’ve always liked these wheels and still getting above 40mpg so I can’t complain. Much better than the 14mpg on my old gas guzzler M5. :ROFLMAO: Picking up a ScanGauge II soon so I can learn the car & get better MPG.

LoL oh ok. I thought my 42-43 mpg is bad now. It’s about almost the same.

Haha yup, about the same 42-43. That’s the price we pay for heavy 17”-19” wheels.

Stumbled upon 2 different version(s) of the front lower panel that gets beat up when the Prii bottoms out. Top picture is the oldest version, below that is the current aerodynamic friendly design. Interesting...........

Cool. I may get these but in 17s. Would my OEM Toyota center caps fit correctly? I painted my caps black and I think I'd want to use black lug nuts instead of the blue ones if that's possible. I've never bought custom wheels before so I have no idea what offsets to use. I'd want the wheels to be flush or close to it. I have stock suspension too. I guess I can discuss this with whoever I get to install them.

Do you know what the Kai's weigh? I have stock 15s now and if I go up to 17 I want them to be lite.

    Thanks.

The 17x7 CR Kai’s are about 19 lbs. assuming the 18” are heavier. Maybe about 21-22 lbs.

If you want light wheels, get the Volk PF1 17x7 are about 16 lbs or get SSR wheels.

The only reason I want light wheels is to offset going from 15s to 17s to minimize my loss in mpg. Is that right?

Lighting, so far added (4) 120 cm COB leds for footwells and underneath front passenger seat and drivers. Photos are posted is somewhere lost in this thread. After that, I added blue led strips underneath the driver and passenger doors (puddle lights) which I've yet posted on here, hopefully soon been away from the forum. Didn't show at the meet up because of the sun :p

Next project is undercarriage chassis blue lighting. Reviews of reputable brand non-bluetooth & bluetooth controlled undercarriage kits are garbage all around. Failed strips after days of use, burnt LEDs so I'll to use separate strips that I've been using that's been reliable and daisy chaining them controlled by a instrument dash/dim switch. I did purchase alpena underglowz kit, best reviews I've read from the www but had 4 dimming LEDs out of the new box, refunded it.
