Dylan, You just answered a problem I had during the entire time I owned my 2006 Scion XB. At night, I noticed this weird step like angle from the left side of my car. People would flash their lights at me like I was some idiot. So, I pulled up to the garage door and I saw that my lights were angled down, exactly like you specify. Every where I went to talk to about it, no one knew what the heck I was talking about. Eventually, I angled the lights lower, but I lost a lot of distance doing this. Never got a fix for it and for the entire 9 years, just dealt with it. This is why I like Priuschat. People like you and all the others. I continually find "fixes" to issues with not only my Prius, but to driving in general in here. Why no one else could explain the "stepped lights" is beyond me!! Thank you Dylan!! Even though I no longer own the Scion, at least I know I wasn't just imagining my former problem!!

    +1

Also, would these Koito projectors bolt into a standard USDM headlight housing, or only the Gs housing?

Unfortunately they will fit the G headlights.

Not sure how much would be involved into retroing them into a Halogen headlight but I can tell u it wouldn't be worth it. They are a side mounted Single Xenon projector similar to the Gen2 Lexus IS.

With the amount of effort involved ur better off going the route of a RX projector, mini H1 or I like the Mini D2S with custom PNP bracket.

Still what Dylan did is great.

There's enough of an improvement that I'm pretty sure it's not just wishful thinking.

I can't put my finger on exactly what is shimmying and shaking back there. But I have a feeling it's the collective of all that stuff which is not really anchored down -- the trays, the covers, and all that.

I used a layer of Dynamat (softer more malleable) on the rear ledge, where the hatch latch is.

    upload_2016-10-15_18-18-30.png

I suspected that the plastic on metal was a source of noise. I made sure there was Dynamat anywhere the plastic cover comes into contact with the body. For the next phase of this, I'm looking at tidy ways of anchoring stuff down using OEM type quick disconnect fasteners.

The geometry of my driveway won't let me get a full 25ft back without putting my cutoff line on the ground. But these shots are six & half paces out, about 20ft.

The slope to the right is due to the fact that my rear wheels are out in the street which is on an incline to the left.

They're OEM HIDs, so yes, probably 4300K.

I was having a "it doesn't work" crisis. Googling the symptoms kept returning discussions about worn 12v batteries. I replaced it as a desperate troubleshooting measure.
