Used an alpine radio bezel and custom bracket by @sfv41901 + velcro.

The wires are run through center console and charged through center console.

@sfv41901 would be able to explain it in more detail. Basically the stock radio minus face is still behind ipad. This mod will not work with backup cam.

Installed the iJDMtoys switchback LED/turn signal...overall pretty good result. Although it looks brighter than the stock DRL

Do people keep all the OEM parts of thier Prius? I have heard that modding your car devalues it when it's time to trade in or sell.

Changed out the stock shift knob for a Nimbus.

Will make checking the SigAlert App on the freeway a lot easier:).

I have had very poor results trying to sell my OEM parts. No one wants OEM springs, sway bars, carpet, head units, steering wheels, emblems, or any of the other things I've got cluttering up my garage.

The motivation for modding is about getting the most enjoyment out of the car while you own it. If you're planning to trade it in at a dealership, they will find any excuse they can to undercut the value even if you keep it in OEM factory condition. In either case you're better off selling your car to another individual and using that capital toward the down payment on your next car.

I wasn't saying anything about selling your OEM. What i was saying is keeping your OEM to put back on the vehicle when you sell or trade in because modding does devalue a car when using after market parts.

I've got all my OEM parts in my garage. Figure if a member won't buy the prii as is, I'll get more for it in stock form at the dealer than modded

I have kept the parts which I no one wants to buy. The remaining parts I am cutting into smaller pieces and trashing.

A dealership will surely use the word "aftermarket" as a euphemism for "inferior quality" in their campaign to justify their low valuation of your trade in.

    Homey don't play that.

I swap parts for superior quality, to give my ride the upgrades that I feel it should have come with in the first place.

To store inferior OEM parts, and then invest sweat equity into reinstalling them, on the slim hope that a dealership offers me $6,000 instead of $5,000 is not worth my time and energy.

    Well, that's just me.

Checked my brakes, 162700 miles on original and good for at least another 40000. Checked my oil and half quart down, looks like I'll be joining the Gen 3 oil users club after all, oil changed 2700 miles ago.

Welcome to the exclusive club:). A quart every 5k miles isn't too bad. At least you caught it on the dipstick before it got worse;).

I have 140 k on our 2010 Prius II (also in Barcelona Red) and have done some things that have resulted in reducing oil consumption.

Adds to the interests in life and another thing to troubleshoot.

I picked this APR ESS up from @mainemanx. I've been eyeing them for a while, and he was very generous on his price, so I couldn't pass it up. Obviously, I did a little tweaking to make it flow better with my interior
