Sounds good gentleman I'll try putting something together and make a post once I have a good idea... Nevertheless I went to start my car after being gone 2 weeks... Dead... Person watching the house apparently turned the car on and didn't completely turn it off so I'm assuming it sat in ACC until it depleted the battery. $171 new battery cause I'm not risking it dying down the road cause the battery was completely drained

 

Rear bumper brackets???

Please continue my education; why does the Prius need rear bumper brackets.

If this is not about rear bumper brackets, please disregard.

 

Damn you, TRD rear sway bar. The ungodly amount of force I created between my thumb and forefinger to shut the bushing clamps together far enough to shove the bolt through is absurd. Not sure how some of you installed it in 30 minutes without lifting the car up and removing the shock absorber. I was able to tighten everything except the end link nuts attached to the shocks. Don't have a wrench small enough to fit in the small space.


Edit: Great...I realized I only put washers on one side of each bushing clamp bolt. I'd rather do it correctly, so I guess I'm gonna have to endure this mess again. Everything is tightened down enough it should be good till next weekend. I even forgot to remove the bungee cord I used to hold the bar up

 

I order Black Legacy plates for the new Gen III, should feel right at home with the black paint! Now just gotta wait 8 to 12 weeks.

Test footage off my new dash cam. Seems like I have a smudge on the lens, but the picture quality already looks a lot better than the Mini 0806.

The resolution of this camera is so good, you can see the a$$hole in the Jeep with CA license plate 7NJA109 quickly show his face for a split second before he decides to cut me off in the middle of an intersection, just so he could downshift for no reason, then later cut off the car he was just in front of if he just stayed in his lane to begin with

 

Nice Dashcam. I'm glad no Prii were harmed in the making of this video.

Got this one off Amazon.

So far so good. The night quality isn't as great (I'll try to post a video later today) versus the day. There's no screen on it, so you need a smartphone with the app to change any settings via WiFi.

The WiFi transfer rate to view videos through the mobile app is also extremely slow which sucks. That was pretty much the whole reason why I wanted one with WiFi. The camera does create a low-res version at like 200p to make viewing videos on the spot a little easier. If you want that full resolution video though, you'll need to put the SD card into a computer.

Another weird quirk is the USB connector that powers it is backwards... They provide a cable with a right-angle connector, causing the cable to make this U shape if you route the cable from the top. I tried rotating the camera 180 degrees to make the connector orientation correct, but there's no setting to flip the image, making all the videos upside down.

 

What a douche. Is it because Prius?

 

Being a former Jeep guy myself, I would say this is because of Jeep.

 

Yeah, I'm sure it was just hater. I was driving down that street for a good 2 miles in the same lane by the time the video starts. I cut the video short, but he ended up making a left at the next light, so yeah, not sure what he was trying to prove
