I normally keep updated on Instagram, but this is how my June has been:

road trip to NJ was swiftly interrupted by a semi's unavoidable tire tread in Ohio Turnpike. took out half my bumper, ripped off front mesh grille, punctured my wiper fluid tank, bent my front skidplate, damaged my passenger side DRL/turning signal, took out my right horn, bent my radiator, and bent my bottom frame. I know its a lot of damage, but couldve been worse. My sister sent me that meme of "lower your car they said. it would be fun they said". I didn't laugh at the time, but I can chuckle about it now. :p
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

my rental for the 2 weeks was a Ford Focus. I almost forgot how much acceleration power a regular car has, lol
    [IMG]

Once I got my car back, quickly took an afternoon to get it back to normal again (minus the front mesh grille which is on Ohio Turnpike somewhere). I tinted the DRL again and since they didnt drill the holes for the license plate, I didnt have to reinstall my bumper plugs! And since I saved my tow hook covers from the bad bumper, I felt confident to try and make a perfect hole for the tow hook license plate bracket. Fixed and recolored horns as well.

And If you haven't noticed, during my road trip, I did have a bit of bad luck with my other aftermarket tails that I baked last year. The cover seemed to have fell off. So I got another set fairly quickly. License plate LEDs died as well so had to replace those.

then when I got back to IL, I got rid of my green steering wheel controllers. Messed up pretty bad on the hydrodip on the new ones, but I could care less. I will fix it another time. I was able to fix my LED door sills finally though. They were flickering, but once I got my hands on a soldering kit and watching YouTube; I figured out how to "Dylan Doxey" them ;). So hopefully sometime this summer, I can retrofit my dash LEDs like the rest of you Cali-folk!

And took these pics yesterday. Just glad to have my car back from the Collision shop. Its literally the only mod I didn't do myself. I like spent an hour making sure they did everything correct, lol. And probably won't bake tails again. Don't want to have the same thing happen twice. Was fun while it lasted though.

@Starbrand, glad your ride is all healed up. Looking forward to your future mods.

While your ride was in the shop getting all fixed up, were you worried about the workmanship and how everything was going to turn out?

Everytime my ride is not on my driveway, always worried something is gonna happen to it. Paranoia I guess. Just curious.

Nice, I hope you are enjoying your car as much as I enjoy mine. I am going to tint the windows. Probably get the door sill trim plates, when winter comes I'll get all weather mats and add LED lights to the interior. Those are my cheap mods ill get till 3 years when I pay it off. After that I am going all out with wheels and tires and maybe a drop. Not sure on the drop because I like the smooth ride I have so we will see!

@Mr_Desmond I've been around cars all my life, but I have no idea; what is a paint correction?

Man I've owned my Prius for a month and sometimes I feel like a complete ignoramus on this forum.

A paint correction is when you use compound and polish to remove scraches and imperfections from the paint. In the attached picture the right side of this door has been corrected the left side has not. 1467693296575.jpg picture is upside down but you can still see what I mean.

Saw this on Instagram. Is this the G's front bumper bonnet, without the rest of the G's bumper? I think it looks pretty dope.

I was checking out the comments in Google translate:
    • gt86jdmいきなりすいません。どこのグリルなんでしょうか?
    • toshikazumizumotoワンオフ加工してます❗
    Which translates to:
I think "One-off processing" tells us this is a custom job. Maybe they did blend in a G's nose bonnet.

Over the weekend I installed a new roof spoiler and wrapped my tails in red vinyl. Have seen a few different tail light options to get rid of the full clear look that I despise so much, but wrapping them with vinyl turned out really good! Also went bowling with a buddy of mine in his XB. :)

@Jessemkane: how are you able to drive so low?
I probably wouldn't be able to get out of my driveway like this..../
(but I have to admit, it looks WAY cool, especially with this wheels)

It looks like a lot of the warning lights (cruise control, headlights, ABS, SRS) LED's can be changed out but as far as the actual speedo.....looks like it's A vacuum fluorescent setup
