The cell phone camera just doesn't take decent pictures at night. I think it's time I got a real camera.

 

Very easy. Just remove the old one and put a new one there using the ready set of plastic and wiring harness. I bought those from our local car stereo specialist. I also installed a subwoofer in the trunk at the same time. Need to post some photos about that one day.

68 miles one way to work? That is a lot of mileage on the Prius and is a brand new 2015

 

Makes me appreciate my 8 mile drive even more!

Fixed my passenger side today so that its closer to the same height as the driver side. Ended up having to remove the locking rings just on the passenger side to get the same height. Not sure why but for now, it'll close enough and looks okay. Probably going to swap to different coils at some point so I have more height adjustability.

Getting ready to stroke a freaking check for $2600(which is what's left after my home warranty company pays there portion) to replace my upstairs HVAC! Dang R22(and no that's not an engine) lol

and yes... My tails are not green anymore The red idle LEDs were flickering and might rebake to fix.. not sure. So I took off the plastidip from my OEMs and spray tinted them instead. Kev has the dipped tails still, there is only a slight difference. Visibility is not an issue as seen from Kevs car. Duno when I'll go back to the green tails or not. Could be just trash at this point.


well its been a fun experimenting week. Tried the pink/teal. Long story short, I didn't like it when overdone. So I reverted back and ended up CF Hydrodipping few pieces instead.

I hydrodipped door things and select few engine bay covers. It turned out okay. Not completely happy with it, need to figure out what I want.


I then got an idea from @ePrius to tint the 3rd Brake light, so I did. Before and After. Looks much better.




And the green calipers from last yr were wearing. So redid teal. Didnt finish though.


then got a great deal on a complete Thule roof rack on Craigslist. two square 50" bars, traverse 480 feet, 2 thruride bike carriers, 870xt fairing, and 4pack lock cylinders w/keys all for only $350! Just had to buy the 1566 fit kit. Will buy snowboard carriers next Winter. Came with decals on the fairing, but I just removed them.





It's missing a Priuschat decal though!!! @HAWAIIANBUILT, when will they be up in the online store! I want one for the fairing



No real big mods lately from me. West coast killing it as usual. still taking it easy and absorbing all the influences from this thread. It's like "The Year of the Bags"

 

It's in the works just have to eat top ramen for the next couple of months
