What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

There are yellow 9005 highbeam bulbs available.

 

My prius almost back to stock. Sway bars are left and when removed and Sean's side mirror covers arrives my prius will be traded for the lexus GX460. I never thought I can be a mechanic/ICU nurse. I'm getting ready for my next mod so all of you are welcome in my next adventure at clublexus.com. Thanks to all your support here in priuschat.

Gave my Prii and my wife's Prii C a break and took the family in 66 for a cruise with my Volks Regime car club.

 

Very nice! My in-laws had a 4-door and now I wished I kept it instead of telling them to sell it.

 

Why are the rear wheel so canted rather than perpendicular to the ground?

Not yet installed because of the crap weather we have had lately. Should be installed maybe this weekend. You leave it in, you don't remove after use that would defeat the purpose of it.

 

So why so much camber. It seems as close to zero as possible would be best for optimum tire wear.

 

The inner sidewall will probably show threading before the treads wear down with such an aggressive camber. Just another sacrifice to make to look good.

Yes it has more than -0 camber but most VW's have that camber when we slam them. There is a kit to keep the rear wheel straight but no ones really uses it, plus tires we use is $50 a piece. If there is significant tire wear, we'll just flip the tire because they're not directional.

 

Sorry, not on air bags (Bags are for groceries). This is all static, 2" drop spindles, 4" narrowed beam with Koni shocks up front and 3" drop plates with Koni shocks in the rear. Rides ways better than a car on bags.

 

Haha, true true but the new Firestone tires have harder tread which has longer tread wear before flipping the tire. Plus I can't really complain about $50 per tire.

 

Yep, that's what my in-laws had, even with the euro headlights. That's nice too.
