Yeah i think I know what you mean. You're referring to the 2 pins inside needing to be closer like the top photo. Let me try it out. Thanks for the tip.

    Edit
Ended up breaking one of the pin terminals off trying to release them. Just gonna order a kensun harness or something at this point.

You could always splice into the existing wiring leaving the factory connector in place but I understand if u don't want to go this route. I ended up securing mine in place with electrical tape. Mine was a loose connection as well, I plugged it in and wrapped both end with electrical tape, that way I can un-do it easily and all of my wiring his hidden for the hid's so no one will ever see it.

You had a lot better experience with their service dept than I just had. I called them earlier today on my lunch break and the lady I spoke to pretty much told me "If your HID kit is already working without the relay, then don't worry about the relay." I told her I'd prefer to have the relay to prevent any future electrical issues in case something happens, I sent her the photo I posted with the 2 terminal pins being placed too wide, etc... she sent me a DIY forum post for a Hyundai Forester showing how to cut off the connector housing, reattach the pin terminals, plug them in individually to the OEM harness, and wrap everything in electrical tape...

I should've spent the money and got the Morimotos...

Did you purchase through eBay? If so open a claim and get your money back. Sorry to hear about that.

On a side note I just installed a set of the Nokya Hyper Yellow's in my high beams now my headlights are complete.
    -55w 5k hid
    -Led parking bulbs
    -Nokya hyper yellow high beams

I think I would like to do the mod where u can have DRL's on while headlights are on but I'm kinda scared of that mod. I live out in the country and being able to see at night is very important .

Did a few things recently, installed JDM 3D window rain guards, painted both front and rear badges with carbon fiber vinyl background, removed all other emblems and replaced. Rear flashing 3rd brake relay, LED inside and out, high and low beam mod, 17"rims, dashcam... image.jpg image.jpg

I bought through Amazon and filed a complaint about it. The Amazon rep actually offered to just mail me a relay harness free-of-charge so I sent them a link to the Kensun harness and already got notification that it shipped.

I didn't have any plans to mod the highbeams but you're giving me ideas, lol. I live really close to downtown San Diego so I don't really need it. I thought about the DRL mod as well but I think I'd rather install some projector fogs with 3000k bulbs, but it'd mostly be cosmetic rather than functional for me.

I would like a nice set of fogs as well but I would have to buy the whole grill/lights combo for about $190. More than likely will be doing that route one day. I bought the high beams for $14 shipped off eBay arrived in 4 days.

You can buy the H11 connector shell and put the terminals into them.

I'm tempted to give these a shot. But like you said, I'd also have to get the whole package and run the wiring as well.

I already broke a pin terminal though. It pretty much bent and snapped off.

DDM sells dual relay HID harnesses, but the quality may not be as high as the Morimoto HD dual relay.

There's a link in my highbeam DRL thread (link in my signature below) that is to headlight parts. They sell the headlight wiring terminals and connector shells.

Crap photos but the rest of my interior LEDs and my parking LEDs showed up.

Will have my fogs and HIDs by Friday.
Install Saturday, assuming everything goes well.
