Initially I was super cautious going up the Kingsbury Grade in the snow. Then a native Gen III blew by me like I was standing still. So, I punched it and followed his lead. Once I got used to the pace it felt stable and perfectly safe.

Just joined the ScanGuage II club. I monitored water temperature, intake air temperature, battery voltage and miles per hour. What do other monitor?

Been having some close calls with reckless drivers the past couple weeks and was researching dashcams today. Don't need anything too fancy... just something that'll work decently and not fry in the SoCal heat. I'd like something with a cord long enough to hide and run to the lighter/USB port. I don't know much about electrical so not sure about hardwiring something myself either. Anyone have a setup that's $100 or less?

Anyway, here's some pics I took this morning while setting up my camera equipment for a photoshoot. Was considering a Prius C originally... Glad I got the liftback for all that trunk space.

Didn't technically do it today - but I did make arrangements for a carbon fiber hood wrap.

Debating what else I may or may not wrap...
I'm keen on the idea of doing the rear spoiler as well; and at that point - why not wrap the roof, right?
But I can't seem to visualize what that would end up looking like.

If anyone has a similar set up / or has some pictures of such a thing let me know!
(I wish Forza had a Prius I could mock up...)

I was complaining to a friend of mine, a highway patrolman, that I drive 65 mph (the speed limit) in the far right lane of SoCal freeways to stay out of the way of almost everyone else who is going 75+ mph. The problem is that trucks (55 mph speed limit) are going 70+ mph in the right lane. They come up on my tail about 10 feet away to intimidate me and if I don't move out of their way they blast me with their horns. If I continue to hold my ground they will pull out and pass me and then cut back in with just inches to spare to send me a message. My friend said that speeding by all vehicles on the freeways is a rapidly increasing problem due to lack of enforcement from budget cutbacks. He said many truck drivers "feel they own the right lane." He recommended that I get a dash can AND a rear deck cam to protect myself. He said in some cases it is possible to send video evidence in to the CHP and they can prosecute for reckless driving. He said more and more people are doing this. Yes, dual cams are on my modification list.
