What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Does your wide mirror shake when driving? I had the Broadway and Carmate both shake when I am driving even without music. When it was on my BMW it didn't shake or on my Accord

Agreed! I have had the Scangauge blend mount and it's expensive, I like the $7 mount I use now and it's effective work and no glare at all, plus no need to route a long nice person CAT5 cable all over.

 

After I had the display on, it is slightly off to the right but everything is still viewable.

Update: Going to have to relocate. The mount sticks out enough, that when I do a uturn, the steering wheel column hits the scangauge. Not by much but enough that it bothers me.

 

Maybe a little bit. What used to bother me was the distorted view out of convex wide angle mirrors, so I always use flat type wide angle mirrors. No distortion of the visual field, the fisheye view.

 

I do have the cheap walmart rearview mirror and never shake but it will vibrates with the loud bass.

 

What about the warranty wouldn't they cover it?

 

Rodent, mice, etc...don't think it is cover. It's because allegedly fish/whale oil is used instead of mineral oil in the chemistry of plastic connectors, rubber hoses, foam insulation etc..rodents love to eat that

The dealer said they probably could have if it was a older Prius or a different model car all together. Apparently the engineers watch out for things like this to fail.

I called my insurance and they are going to cover it. So I only have to pay the deducible. I'm a happy camper again.

Ouch!!!!. Looks painful. Sticking with the 3M........one exception were the rivets for my prius plus kit.....

Remove the back piece


Break and sand it down. Then put 3M auto tape on it to hold. You really don't need the bottom piece.

As you can see you can still eject the CD without any issue.
