Hey Everyone,

Yesterday I installed the OPT7 Fluxbeam LED Headlights 6000k @60W. These come with a 2yr warranty. I paid $108 with Calif. sales tax and next day shipping direct from OPT7. I understand the coverage isn't as good as HID, however I Like the fact that it consumes less power and looks nicer/crisper/brighter than the OEM halogen low beams.

One thing I like is that the coverage just outside of each fender extends quite a bit on each side. Haven't experienced any ground shadows. They are nice and clear. Hope this mini review helps!

did you have to remove the bumper to install that? The passenger side isn't that deep. I had something similar awhile back but the distance wasn't far. So I had to removed it. Not only that since it use the fan to cool off. I am afraid that dust or other stuff might break it.

 

I did not have to remove the bumper at all. To access the passenger side bulb, you have to remove the reservoir tank. I believe for the 2010-11 Prius, there are 3 10mm bolts you have to remove. For the 2012-15, there are only 2.

Dang, y'all have some really nice looking Prius'. I picked up my 2015 Prius II Liftback on Monday evening and y'all are giving me a lot of ideas. Thanks to what I'd seen here before taking the leap, before I pulled out of the dealership, I pulled the hubs off. I never would have guessed there were some pretty nice looking black alloys under the hubs had it not been for the heads up I'd gotten from reading posts here. Thanks for that. I've always really liked how black wheels look, especially on white cars. I had been talking to a buddy of mine prior to taking the leap and when I really started thinking Prius and seeing some real eye catchers on here how I wanted a white one if I went with a Prius and then I'd slap some black wheels on it the future. I recall shooting him another text after mentioning that saying "dude, i nearly just shat myself. toyota hides black alloys under the Prius hubs". So, if that counts for a mod, I pulled those hubs off. Aside from that I grabbed a couple plastic food containers on the cheap at Walmart to tidy up / create slightly better storage under the "flying bridge". Things I really want to do: tint the windows, black out the badges, black out the roof and perhaps the hood, anti-sway bars for better speed cornering and less up and down with speed. Realistically, I'm thinking I'll get as far as blacking out the badges with black plasti-dip before winter. I had to make the first order of business getting new wheels, next order of business is getting back into the classroom asap to continue working towards my bs. Perhaps next summer I'll look into tinting and adding anti-sway bars. Then perhaps the following summer I'll look into vinyl for the roof and hood. I also really like some of the work I've seen here with altering the lighting whether it's changing to different bulbs or blacking out the internal parts of the headlight housing. Some really spectacular looking Prius' on here for sure. Definitely a few handfuls that I've seen and thought "is that even really a Prius!?". Nice work guys, really admire a lot of the work you've put into your Prius'! Was never really into modifying the look, and/or performance of automobiles. I could appreciate seeing the handiwork of others for sure, but nothing I was concerned with. After buying a Prius and really thinking that it's probably hands down the sharpest looking car I've had, and seeing how people have expanded the horizons of looking spectacular, I definitely now want to, when time, money and work & academic ventures allow, modify my auto as well. Keep inspiring me! Maybe a fire will be lit under my rear! For now, though, pats of the back and applause all around. Nice work peeps!

 

Welcome my friend. Before you do anything, I recommend you put an alarm. Things can get very costly.

 

I heart this thing!!! BTW rear speakers don't work need someone's expertise...

 

Alarms work as a deterrent, but won't stop a thief if he wants your car. Save your money and invest in the Club Steering Wheel Lock, and kill switches. Luckily Prius are not a popular car for thief's.

I will be adding an amp tomorrow or saturday if the goodies arrives early. The sound I just can't stand it. The onboard headunit amp its just to weak and distorts the speakers on a high volume.
