What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Installed LED tail lights tonight! Looks damn good!

 

Added gas lid sticker. That makes the last of all the chrome I'm adding to car.



Very happy about the overall result ...only thing left is to get my jpm steering wheel installed

 

Just sent in an order for a set of Hotchkis front and rear sway bars. I'll be set on suspension after I get those in and ready for some track days. lol

 

I'm going to keep the Prius in the garage today. . . . snowing here

 

ordered grigots garage orbital buffer on cyber monday.

 

I installed Extend My Seat brackets.

Took about 20 minutes. Would have been easier with an extra hand but I did it with only a mild sweat. Opted not to remove the seat but work around it.

LIFE CHANGING. My knee is so grateful!

Finished up my DIY backlit emblem this afternoon. Looks sweet, going to take some pics in a few.

 

Man my phone just cant catch how good this looks. I'll have to charge the real camera and get some more shots later.

Looks awesome JMR! Is it the front, rear or both? Is there any kind of legal issues having blue lights on the car? (i.e. some interpretation of the impersonating a cop laws?)

 

Socal- thanks! I've done the front so far but I have the supplies to do the rear as well when it gets a bit warmer out. I'm sure their are laws, but based on the actuall light output this gives off I'm not concerned. It is visible from about 10 feet away, any further and the headlamps blind it out. At first I was going to figure a way to make it brighter, but then decided the less attention from the cops the better.

By the way, if anyone wants one I can do the, for pretty cheap. I can sell them for about 45$ each if you send me your emblems to install, or 45 plus the cost of the emblem from the dealer if you don't want it to look funny for a week!

Darn it.. this is what I get for moving to the swamps. I used to live in cali for 15 years and visit yearly.. too bad my car doesn't visit with me

 

Met up with Andy (bluebatmobile) so he made templates of my roof, tail lights, and fog lights.

Gonna red out and tint certain areas of my tails, then he's making my yellow fogs, then opting to get glossy black vinyl top. Hope to get it on Saturday to install!

 

Oh no, lots of colors available, I would just wonder how well others woud shine over the blue emblem. Maybe a new backplate would be better for other colors


EDIT- RXXX, I made these myself after finding a few vague DIY's on the forum. I'm looking into creating a group buy and selling these guys to you all at a real cheap price. I'll post if and when this gets approved by the forum.
