What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Just installed my fogs and for some reason my switch is always lit even the ignition is turn off. And worse of all the fogs lit when fog switch on with the ignition off mode.
It must be the cheap relay is broken.
Anybody know where to buy these replacement relays?

 

Same thing happen to me. Wifey likes the smaller one.

The light on my fog light switch is only lit when fog lights are on And when switch is engaged. Off otherwise. .

 

If you connect directly to the 12V aux. Is it always on even if you turn switch off? If always on could be something with the switch not your wiring. I bought my fog kit from Toyota. Where did you get your fog kit?

 

Hmmm. Just in ebay. Maybe I'll call toyota then and redo the wiring. thanks for your response.

Thanks to you and @RightOnTime. I was able to figure out what's going on. The 12v that feeds the the fogs and switch was coming from the fuse box. Instead of connecting it to the 12v aux under the dash. Will be rewiring it hopefully on wednesday.

This might prove useful... Nearly all the vehicles (cars) I've worked on where I needed access I removed the plastic fender liner and from there you can poke your way through the hood release cable/grommet

 

Got a chance to install Morimoto fog light. Might go back to my yellow LED fog. Keep the Morimoto as spare

 

Thats too complicated for me bro, but thanks for the input. There's a little rubber nozzle needs to be clip and found a small surgical scissor at work that i can use to snip that little thing and feed the wire through the hole.
